Hand colored period lithographs, each image size approx. 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches, c. 1850. Inscribed under the top image is "Drawn from Nature by J.J. Audubon, F.R.S.F.L.S." and "Drawn on Stone by R. Trembly" l.l., "Printed by Naoel a Weingaertner N.Y." and "Colored by J. Lawrence" is inscribed in the lower right. Also on the top left of the image is "No. 3." and top right is "Plate XIII". On the lower image of the Neotoma, "Drawn from Nature by J.J. Audubon, F.R.S.F.L.S." is l.l., "Drawn on Stone by Wm. E. Hitchcock" is centered under the image, and "Printed & Col. by J.T. Bowen, Phil." is inscribed on the l.r., "No. 6" and "Plate XXIX" is at top left and top right respectively. Both prints feature very rich original colors but have tape residue and toning around the edges of the sheet, not effecting the image area.

Watercolor, image size 13 3/4 x 17 inches, 1895, signed l.r. "F.C.V. Ede/95". An American painter, Ede studied in Paris at the Julian Academy under Fleury and Bouguereau in 1890. These French Impressionist influences are apparent in the idyllic country setting of this landscape.
