The Abbey Barn
Etching, image size 4 3/8 x 5 3/8 inches, 1930, edition of 30, pencil signed, titled at bottom of sheet. S.R Badmin was known for his watercolors and etchings depicting the English landscape, and had a successful career as an illustrator for books and magazines. In 1932, at the age of 26, he became one of the youngest members of the Royal Watercolor Society. He served in the RAF during WWII, then went on to teach at several prestigious art schools in London.
