Etching with aquatint, image size 8 3/8 x 12 inches, "La Tauromaquia" blindstamp, sheet size 13 7/8 x 17 3/4 inches. From the 5th edition, printed in 1921 in an edition of 200. From Goya's series of 33 etchings depicting various elements of bullfighting, first published in 1816. Seven more etchings were added posthumously by a later publisher, using images found on the backs of plates. A total of eight editions have been printed, the last by the Real Academia de San Fernando in 1984.
