Watercolor on paper, 9 1/2 x 13 5/8 inches, signed lower right. Dillens was a well-known painter of genre scenes. He and his brother Albert were students of their father, Hendrik, who was an accomplished watercolorist. Adolphe's work can be seen in the collections of the museums in Bruges and Brussels.
