Etching and drypoint, early proof of this rare image, image size 7 7/8 x 11 7/8 inches, 1911, cat: Schwartz-76, inscribed "probedruck" (test print) l.l. and signed l.r. both in red crayon, blindstamp l.l. just below image. Corinth began his art career studying at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich and went on to study under Bouguereau at the Academie Julian in Paris. He then returned to Germany and became a member and then president of the Berlin "Sezession".

Graphite and watercolor on paper (en grisaille), sight 14 x 21 1/2 inches, 1934, signed lower left, framed. Also inscribed "Cuchullin Hills." Purchased by the Royal Academy of Arts. Titled on a partial label and on a typed page affixed to the backing. According to information on that page, the work was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1934 and purchased that year at the R.A. Summer Exhibition. Also accompanying the work is a handwritten letter from Cecil A. Hunt referencing the painting and a memorandum of purchase from the Academy.
