This drawing by Dexter Dawes measures 21 1/4 x 14 1/2 inches and is dated "July 7, 1929" on the lower margin. Dawes was born in Englewood, NJ and went on to study at New York City's Art Student League. He summered in Marlboro, NH surrounded by beautiful gardens with views of Mount Monadnock which became the inspiration for many of his lithographs and drawings. He belonged to a number of associations including the National Arts Club

McAuliffe was active in the late 19th century and produced public works, especially in Everett, Mass: Roman Catholic Cathedral, St John's, and Parlin Library. His specialties were maritime and religious subjects.

A beautiful summer landscape by the American artist, Horace Burdick. It measures 5 3/4 x 10 1/2 inches and is matted. Burdick attended the Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston and was known throughout his career as a portrait and landscape painter. He did many White Mountain scenes as well as New England coastal scenes. This image is from the artists' estate.

This pencil drawing by Jack Levine measures 5 1/2 x 5 inches. It is pencil signed on the lower right. Levine was best known for his satires on modern life and political corruption. Born in South Boston into a large family, his drawing abilities were apparent at an young age. At 14 he entered a painting program at Harvard and a few years later was employed in the Works Progress Administration. His lower class childhood was often a subject of his paintings and he became known for "telling it like it is".
