This is an original inkwash drawing, illustration by American artist Everett Shinn.  This image was done for the James Riley Poem, The Raggedy Man, published by Grosset and Dunlap 1943.  The image is described and titled in the lower border.  Unsigned, but easy enough to find in the Riley Book.  The illustration board measures 18X14 inches.

This is an interesting original watercolor painting of a monument and reflecting pool. This watercolor came to us unidentified as to the artist but it is a very competent hand that created this work. on the back of the illustration board is a New York art dealer, N.E. Montross. The painting measures 11 1/2X19 1/2 inches, no apparent signature. About Montross:
"The Montross Gallery is named after its founder and first director, Newman Emerson Montross (1849−1932). The gallery, which opened in 1878, represented leading American artists of the time, including Thomas Dewing, Abbott Thayer, Dwight William Tryon, Horatio Walker, and Alexander Wyant, and sold work to collectors such as Thomas B. Clark, Charles Lang Freer, George Hearn, and John Johnson. This commitment to the American art movement deepened in the 1900s, when the gallery hosted the annual exhibitions of the Ten. "

This is an original charcoal drawing by American illustrator Karl Godwin (1893-1962) This drawing showing a woman holding a rifle and protecting her homestead. The drawing measures 11 3/4X15 3/4 inches, It is clearly signed lower right corner. The drawing is laid down between boards but is very presentable just as it appears.
Godwin was one of the illustrators for readers digest.

This charcoal drawing by John(Jack)Fenton measures 10 x 14 inches and is pencil signed on the lower right corner. In this image, Fenton depicts local characters gathering at the blacksmith shop to catch up on daily events. Fenton was a native of New York and studied at Columbia University and the New York School of Art. He became a painter, illustrator and teacher with his works exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago.
