This is an original etching by French artist Georges Rouault.  This image was plate 39 of his Miserere Series created in 1922.  This image is titled: Nous Sommes Fous.  It was printed with a combination of etching,aquatint,burnisher and roulette.  The image measures 22 1/2X16 1/8 inches.  It was printed in an edition of 425 printed on Arches wove type paper with the Ambroise Vollard watermark.  This etching is signed within the plate lower left but is not pencil signed which was how this etching was originally sold.

This is an original etching by American artist Stephen Parrish.  The title is A Gale at Fecamp, it was created and printed in 1886.  The image including the remarques measures 13 3/4X15 3/4 inches.  It is hand signed in pencil and also has the artist's estate stamp in the lower left border.  This is Parrish's only etching with such complete remarques.  Showing the influence of French artist Felix Buhot.  The remarques revel Parrish's lively sense of humor, showing sketches of books with such titles as Philadelphia as a Summer Resort, Etching in Summer and other gems.  This is a very rare etching by Parrish, and is from a trip he took to Fecamp in 1884.

This is an original line engraving by British artist Stanley Anderson.  The title: Sheep Dipping, shows the two farmers working with their herd.  A true "tour de force" of this artists skill at fine detail and expression through this difficult medium.  The image measures 6 11/16X5 5/16, printed on a sheet size of 12X8 1/2, printed on a wove type paper, deckeled edges, beautiful condition.  Printed circa 1934 in an edition of only 40 proofs.  This engraving is hand signed in pencil lower border.

This is an original oil on board painting by American artist Henry Mortikar Rosenberg.  This study of a museum visitor was originally in the collection of the Mobile Museum of Art, Alabama.  The painting is signed lower right in pencil and inscribed on the back.  The image measures 16X12 inches.  A few minor spots of touch up, nothing major.  A fine modernist impression.  Rosenberg studied under Frank Duveneck.

A verdant New England landscape by Massachusetts artist Edward Burrill, oil on canvas, 9 x 12 inches, 1885, signed and dated in the lower left corner, framed. Edward Burrill was a Northshore artist known for his landscapes and coastal scenes. He worked out of a Boston studio for a time but was primarily based in Lynn, MA, and knew many of the important artists of the day, including John J. Enneking, Winslow Homer and Joseph Cole. He exhibited his work regularly at the Boston Art Club for many years, also showing his work at the Silas Barton Gallery and the Lynn Art Club.

This is a very fine etching on a colored Chin Collet by French artist Charles Meryon.  The title is : Le Petit Pont, Paris.  This etching was created in 1850.  The image measures 10 1/16X7 3/8 inches.  This impression is the V/VII state.  It has printed the title in the lower border as well as: "Public par L'Artiste" in the lower left and "Imp A. Delatre, Rue St Jacque 171" in the lower right.  This image appears in the Delteil-Wright  catalog as image number 24.

This is an original etching on toned chin collet by French artist Charles Meryon.  The title is: La Pompe Notre-Dame, Paris.  This etching was created in 1852.  The image measures 6 3/4X10 inches.  It is the VII/IX state, 7th of 9.  In the bottom margin is printed the title, "Public Par L'Artiste" in the lower left.  In the lower right is "Imp. A. Delatre, R.s. Jacques 171"  This image appears in the Delteil catalog as image number 31...

This is an original oil on canvas painting by American artist Ernest Parton (1845-1933)  The painting is titled on a label on the back, "Near Wilford Surrey".  Created circa 1890 the painting measures 16X24 inches.  Signed lower right and has a label from Toronto Gallery  T. Eaton Co.  There is also an old label affixed to the back as well.  Presented in a period Gold Frame.

This 1927 marine etching by the British printmaker Arthur Briscoe measures 9 7/8 x 15 7/8 inches, hand signed in inked and editioned as 58/75. Briscoe studied at the Slade Art School and the Academy Julian in Paris and then spent the rest of his time sailing, becoming one of the most prominent British marine artists of the 20th century. He owned his own three ton cutter which he used to sail around the Essex coast. Also crewing on a Polish ship, he sketched every aspect of life on the boat. Most of Briscoe's etchings show sailing ships and the men who sailed them. His beautifully etched images present an invaluable historical record of the workings of the last great commercial vessels.
