This is an original pencil signed etching by American artist Joseph Pennell.  The title is The Woolworth Building, created and printed in 1915 in an edition of 100.  The image measures 11 3/4X7 3/8 inches.  THis image appears in the Wuerth catalog as image number 675.  This is a fine impression with 1/8 inches borders on two sides.  Typical of the printing of Pennell.  Framed.

This is an original etching by French artist Berthe Morisot.  The title is: Femme Nu de Dos,  this etching was created in 1889.  This is a later printing after the plate had the cancellation holes at the upper and lower ends of the plate. These holes were later filled in the 20th century and the etching was re-editioned,  This state is less common.   The image measures 5 7/16X415/16 inches.  Unsigned as issued.  This is a rich impression, nicely framed with archival materials.

This is an original color etching by American artist Dorsey Potter Tyson.  The title is: Gossip, created and printed in 1928,  This image is hand signed in pencil and numbered as XXXVIII lower left, also indicated that he printed this impression himself.  The image measure 8 1/2X9 1/2 inches.  It was framed and sold by The Casson Galleries in Boston, dated 1929.

A beautiful sun drenched scene by Walter MacEwen, etching, image size 10 x 5 7/8 inches, c. 1910, printed by Delatre, pencil signed. Born in Chicago, MacEwen traveled to Europe to study art, first in Munich with Frank Duveneck, then in Paris with Corman and Robert-Fleury. He stayed in Europe for many years with studios in both Paris and Holland, where he was also a founding member of the Egmond Artist Colony. Primarily a painter, MacEwen was known for his impressionistic portraits and genre scenes which were quite well received in both Europe and America. His etchings, which are quite scarce, are developed in a very painterly style, reflecting the delicate use of light and shadow of his paintings.

This is an original engraving by Paulus Pontius after the painting by Anthony Van Dyck. The image size is 9 5/8 x 6 3/4 inches, c. 1700s, inscribed "Ant. van Dyck pinxit" and "Paul. du pont sculpt" in the lower left margin, with the title and a phrase in Latin below the image, with the original Kennedy Gallery label. Stalbent was a Flemish landscape painter and friend of Anthony Van Dyck when this portrait was painted. This engraving is printed on a very early laid type paper with margins trimmed to approximately 1/4 inch outside of the plate mark, some foxing as is to be expected in a print of this age.

This is a remarkable original etching by William Lionel Wyllie, image size 9 1/4 x 14 inches, c. 1900, pencil signed, titled on the lower edge of the sheet. Wyllie was a well known marine painter and printmaker in early 20th century London. He studied at the Heatherley School of Fine Art, then at the age of 15 began his studies at the Royal Academy. At the age of 18, Wyllie won the Turner Gold Medal for his painting "Dawn After A Storm". He went on to have a long artistic career, specializing in paintings and etchings of the sea and the city of London. In this etching, Wyllie uses remarkably delicate lines and subtle tones to create an atmospheric image of fishing boats setting out to sea.

A very fine original etching by American artist Stephen Parrish, this image is one of three images Parrish created of Chester, a small walled town near Liverpool, England. The image size is 9 1/4 x 7 3/8 inches, 1884, state I/II, before the remarque in the lower margin, cat: Schneider- 107, pencil signed.

This is an early engraving by Bernardus Baron (1696-1766) Portrait of "John, Count of Nassau-Siegen and family", This engraving was created and printed in 1761. It is after the painting by Van Dyck. The engraving measures 20 1/2X18 1/2 inches, trimmed on the three sides, a tear in the upper right corner, not into the image area.Printed on a heavy weight laid type paper.

This is a very fine etching by Warren Davis, image size 7 3/4 x 5 3/4 inches, printed in an edition of 150, signed within the plate, with the title and edition in pencil below the image. This etching is in pristine condition, printed on a cream colored watermarked Rives paper with ample margins. Warren Davis studied at the Art Students League in New York and became known for his etchings of idealized female figures, many of which were used on the covers of Vanity Fair and Life magazines. Later in his career Davis exhibited in Europe and the United States including the Pennsylvania Academy and the Salmagundi Club. This image is a great example of Davis' use of delicate lines and simple compositions to elegantly capture the beauty of the female figure.

This is an original mezzotint by European artist Wallerand Vaillant (1623-1677) This is a portrait of a woman of wealth, it was created and printed circa 1670. The image measures 12 1/2X10 1/2 inches. It is plate signed in the lower right border. Vaillant was one of the first old master printmakers to use the technique of mezzotint. Printed on an early laid type paper.

This is a rare original lithograph by American artist and lithographer William Morris Hunt. The image size is 7 1/2 x 5 5/8 inches, published in a small edition in 1857, after the painting by Hunt which is now in the collection of the MFA Boston. William Morris Hunt was one of the earliest American lithographers. He was also a painter and studied the French Barbizon style in Europe with Millet, a close friend. Hunt is widely credited with bringing the Barbizon style of painting back to the U.S.

This is one of the most impressionistic mezzotint studies created by British artist Sir Francis Seymour Haden.  It is titled: "Grayling Fishing", it was created and printed in 1897.  It is state II/V.  This is a beautiful impression but does have a long touched up scratch on the right side of the composition.  Pencil signed,  by Haden and also signed by Golding, his printer.  There are printing instructions on the lower left of the border by Golding.  The image measures 7 1/2X11 3/4 inches.
