This is an oil on panel by Belgian artist Frans Van Severdonck (1809-1889) The painting showing Ducks and chickens measures 6 7/8X10 3/8 inches. It is signed and dated 1889 in the lower center and also identified on the back of the panel. "Franz van Severdonck was a master of animals and created numerous compositions with sheep, horses and chickens. " This painting could use a light cleaning. But is quite presentable as it now hangs.

The canvas measures 17X14 inches and came in a fine period gilt frame. There is one repaired tear in the lower center of the canvas and some cracking to the paint. Over all a very fine painting highly detailed. Guaranteed to be a mid to late 19th century work. Most likely British or American origins...

Signed lower left corner and housed in a period gilt frame, labels and import stickers on the back of the panel. This painting done circa 1870 is in fine condition, a few minor chips to the frame. A very expressive work of art.
This 1862 oil on canvas by the British artist Alfred Vickers measures 11 3/4 x 15 3/4 inches, signed and dated l.l., housed in original frame, partial European label on back. Born in London, Vickers was a self-taught landscape painter, who exhibited at the British Institute and the Royal Academy.

This painting, At the Train Station, is identified on the back of the board with labels from both "Karl Schneider in Munchen" and also "Original der Munchner Jugend, Munchen"..The painting appears to be unsigned, but possibly appears to have a faded signature in the lower left. The painting has an image size of 12X18 inches. Nicely Framed.. Very rich colors and in good condition. An interesting post impressionist style circa 1890-1900.
Framed watercolor portrait, sight size 7 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches in 12 3/4 x 10 Italian carved gilt frame. Signed and dated in the lower right corner. Inscription on the back of the frame has the artist's name, date, and the name of the sitter, Lady Adelaide Horatia Elizabeth Seymour. Lady Seymour lived from 1825-1877 and married Vice Admiral Spencer.

This is an oil on canvas painting by British Marine artist George Knight. The image of sailboats on a windy day has a canvas size of 10X14 inches. It is obscurely signed lower left. It came to us in an early heavy period gilt frame. The painting is framed underglass. The frame has some chipping mostly on the edges. The painting has a few minor touch ups. A fine example of a British School marine scene.
This is an original watercolor on Ivory painting, circa 1820. This miniature came to us sealed in a bronze frame with domed glass. The image measures 4 1/4X3 1/2 inches. The painting is signed lower right, Cales....? Possibly French in origin, there appears to be some minor foxing on the work, its possibly just on the glass inside, but this work is sealed up and weve been unable to open it. The backing appears to be of tortoise shell. Overall in good shape a bit of damage to the floral design at the top of the frame. Our photo shows reflection on the left and right edges of the painting, these do not appear on the original artwork.

Attributed to Paul Sandby. Painting measures 5 1/2 x 7 3/4 inches. 1800's. A vibrant and energetic painting despite the gray palette. Paul Sandby, the brother of Thomas Sandby, was an English engraver and painter. He began his artistic career as a landscape painter and draftsman for the Scottish military. As a printmaker, Sandby popularized the use of aquatint, and was considered to be the father of British watercolors. In 1768 the brothers were both among the twenty-eight of the original members of the Royal Academy.

The painting is signed and dated 09 in the lower left corner. The image measures 4 3/4X7 inches. In the original frame and gold mat. The painting is in fine condition, the mat and frame should be replaced or at least rematted. This artist was well known for his studies of the Moors near Princetown.
