This is a rare original etching by American artist Stephen Parrish.  The title is: "Northern Moorland,Marblehead".  It was created and printed in 1881.  The image measures 8 3/4X16 1/8 inches.  This image is plate signed and has the Parrish family stamp in the border on the far left.  This image appears in the Schneider catalog as image number 42.

C. 1886. An etching by James David Smillie directly from the watercolor by Winslow Homer. Inscribed in the plate in the lower right: "Winslow Homer 1883." Catalog: Witthoft 42. Signed by Smillie in the upper left and inscribed "Aqua fortis 1886." Plate measures 6 5/8 x 10 inches on 11 1/2 x 14 3/4 inch wove type paper. A beautifully detailed and accurate rendition of the painting.

Lithograph, image size 6 x 7 1/4 inches, 1858, plate signed and dated. William Morris Hunt was one of the earliest American lithographers. He was also a painter, and studied the French Barbizon style in Europe with Millet, a close friend. Hunt is widely credited with bringing the Barbizon style of painting back to the U.S.

An atmospheric image of Long Island, this etching measures 7 5/8 x 11 1/4 inches, 1884, signed and dated in the plate, framed. Mary Nimmo Moran was one of the leading women etchers of the late 19th century, and along with her husband, Thomas Moran was at the forefront of the etching revival. Known for her originality and boldness of her etchings, Mary Nimmo Moran was a member of the Society of Painter- Etchers and the only female member of the Fellows of London's Royal Society of Painter-Etchers.
