Original 19th century etching by New York etching club member Henry Farrer. The title of this work is Sunset, New York Harbor. This etching was created in 1879. The etching is signed and dated in the plate lower left. This plate was apparently printed in a German edition, in the lower right is printed, "Original Radirung von H.Farrer". A fine and detailed composition, well printed with nice use of plate tone in the sky and water. The image measures 7 3/4X11 1/2 inches. Printed on a medium weight wove type paper, very nice condition.

It was created in 1877, this impression was done on a thin Japan sheet, published by Estes and Lauriat, Boston, 1886, This impression was plate signed lower left corner. The image measures 4 1/2X3 1/2 inches.
