A rare working proof by American sporting artist Frank Benson, this etching measures 9 7/8 x 7 7/8 inches, published in 1922, cat: Ordeman-165, proof C-2, pencil signed below the image, titled "Black Ducks No 2" and inscribed "C-2" in the lower margin. Frank Benson was a very successful painter and a member of "The Ten" along with Childe Hassam and J. Alden Weir, before he began the sporting paintings and etchings for which he is most widely known. He was a founding member of the Boston Guild of Artists and a long time teacher at the Museum School in Boston.

This is an original pencil signed etching of New York City by American artist Joseph Pennell.  The title is: Trinity Church from the River, 1904.  The image measures 11 3/4X8 3/8 inches.  Printed in an edition of 25.  This image appears in the Kennedy Catalog as image number 324...  This etching was last sold by Kennedy Galleries in New York in 1920.  This image is the 2nd state with some changes mostly in the dramatic sky.

This is an original wood engraving by Latvian-American artist Isac Friedlander.  The title of this work is Exodus, it was created and printed in 1931.  Pencil signed this image measures 9 1/4X12 inches.

Isac Friedlander (1890-1968) was born in Latvia. In 1912 he went to Italy where he met and worked with Russian artist Maxim Gorky. During this period he also received his only art training, studying etching, drawing and relief printing at the Academy of Rome. In 1937, he emigrated to New York where he worked full time as an artist until his death. He is best known for his woodcuts and etchings, and many museums have works by the artist, including the Smithsonian, Bibliotheque Nationale, and the Brooklyn Museum.

This is a fine early edition etching of La Rue Sauton, Paris, created by American artist John Taylor Arms.  This etching was created and printed in 1924, the first published edition of 150, printed by Frederick Reynolds.  This plate was created with the help of Kerr Eby, Part of Arm's  French Church series.  The pencil signed etching has an image size of 13 1/2X7 1/2 inches.  Very fine condition, printed on a medium weight laid type paper with partial watermark upper left edge.  A rich impression...This image appears in the Fletcher catalog as image number 144.
