Old Master Prints

This is a period printing of a Battle Scene from the Thirty Years War, engraved  and printed in 1762 By William Baillie.  Initialed and dated in the lower left corner of the border. 1/8 inch margins on three sides, some tears at the right edge of the sheet.  The image measures 8 1/8X 13 7/8 inches.  Printed on an early laid type sheet.

This etching measures 3 1/16 x 3 inches. Illegible signature in the plate.

This cartouche etching attributed to Stefano della Bella measures 6 x 8 3/8 inches. Bella was an Italian painter and printmaker, studying in Rome under the patronage of the Medici Family.

This engraving by Charles Grignion measures 8 x 13 3/4 inches. Published by Gravelot in 1774. "Published as the Act directs by T. Sayer the 12 April 1774" is on the lower margin.

This 1672 etching by Mathias Arteaga, after Valdes Leal, of the inside of Iglesia Cathedral, measures 16 7/8 x 11 1/4 inches. There is some worm damage and staining within the image.

This etching by Mathias Arteaga, after Valdes Leal, measures 20 1/2 x 11 5/8 inches. Created c. 1672, it is plate signed on the lower left with some worm damage within the image.

This etching of the "Monument to St. Ferdinand, by Mathias Arteaga, after Valdes Leal, measures 21 5/8 x 13 1/2 inches. It is dated "1671" on the lower center border and there is some worm damage within the image.
