Clara Klinghoffer

This is an original oil on linen painting by British artist Clara Klinghoffer (1900-1970) Klinghoffer had her first one-woman exhibition of sixty works in London during 1919, when she was 19. The critics hailed her as "Masterly” - "…a dazzling radiance that has no equal at present in Pall Mall. Her many press clippings and Reviews and the Museum collections worldwide which purchased her artwork, including the Tate Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery, document Clara's fame through the next ten years in England and Europe.  The title of this work is Gerda and Her Cat, identified with a label on the back.  The painting measures 27X25 inches, signed lower right corner.


This is a pencil signed lithograph by British born artist Clara Klinghoffer.  The title, Meditation shows a pensive nude study.  This lithograph was created and sold through Associated American Artists in New York City.  Klinghoffer moved to America in 1939.  This image measures 9X12 inches, printed on a medium weight wove type paper.
