Plate measures 8 x 9 5/8 inches on 9 3/4 x 11 3/8 inch wove type paper. Signed in blue ink in the lower right. Numbered in pencil in the lower left, print number 11 in an edition of 30. Good use of plate tone and a rich drypoint burr. Meyerowitz studied at the National Academy of Design in NY and is best known for his development of producing etchings in color. His work is at the Metropolitan Museum of Art; Carnegie Institute; National Academy of Design; Harvard University and the Library of Congress.

This is a fine original etching by American artist Joseph Pennell.  This etching was part of his Panama Canal Series created and printed in 1912.  This pencil signed impression measures 9 3/8X12 1/4 inches.  Printed on a medium weight, watermarked laid type paper.  Very nice original condition.  This image appears in the Wuerth catalog as image number 625.

This is an original etching by American artist Kerr Eby.  The title and subject is: "Hungerford Bridge, London"  This etching was created and printed in 1929.  This etching was based on Eby's visit to Great Britain and France during 1924 and 1925.  The image measures 8 7/8X13 3/4 inches.  It was printed in an edition of 90.  Pencil signed lower right border,   Effective use of plate tone in the sea and sky.  This image appears in the Giardina catalog as image number 144.

Drypoint etching from 1921, pencil signed in the lower right. Plate measures 9 7/8 x 6 7/8 inches on 12 3/8 x 7 7/8 watermarked laid paper. Catalog: Wuerth 770. Edition of 50. A well inked impression with plate toning. Pennell was an important American etcher, lithographer and illustrator. Good friends with James McNeill Whistler, he and his wife co-authored his biography. Pennell was known for his continued experimentation with technique and style, producing cityscapes, landscapes and marine scenes. He also printed many of his own images.

This is a great London etching by American artist Clifford Addams, image size 8 7/8 x 7 1/2 inches, c. 1902, edition of 75, inscribed in the plate, "Loci dulcedo nos attinet" (the sweetness of the place holds us), pencil signed and numbered. Clifford Addams grew up outside Philadelphia and studied art in the U. S. before leaving to further his studies in Europe. He traveled extensively throughout Holland, France, Spain, Italy and Britain, and spent several years in London studying etching with Whistler. He later returned to the U. S. and worked out of studios in both New York and London. He was known for his European city scenes, such as this Whistleresque image of a man gazing out over the busy Thames.
