This is an original lithograph by American artist John S. deMartelly.  The image, Old Moon was created and printed in 1938 and sold by Associated American Artists in New York.  The image measures 10 1/8X13 3/4 inches.  One of his best regionalist images.  Much in the style of Thomas Hart Benton of whom the artist knew and worked with  while at the Kansas City Art Institiute in the 1930's and early 40's.  This lithograph is framed with the AAA label on the back.

This is an original mezzotint engraving by Dutch artist Jacob Gole (1660-1737)  This image, The Drawing Lesson was created after the painting by Godfrey Schalcken.  This image identified in the lower border has an image size of 9 3/4X7 7/8 inches.  Printed on an early laid type paper, some foxing but overall very fine condition.  It has a collectors seal in the lower border, "H de t stat".

Printed on a medium weight wove type sheet, annotated as "Gift of the Artist" lower right border.  Very fine condition, a very rich impression of this rare image.

Spruance studied in Paris after winning the coveted Cresson Scholarship in 1928 while attending college at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art. He studied with Edmond and Jaques Desjobert in Paris before returning to the US and continuing his nearly forty year career as a printmaker.

This is an incredible rare impression of the well known Panama Canal etching, The Guard Gate, Gatun Lock.  It was created and printed in 1912. Both etching and drypoint, with a rich burr in the shadow areas.   Pencil signed and annotated "imp" meaning that he printed this impression on his own press.  It is printed on a blue toned laid type paper,  Very fine condition, richly printed.  The image measures 12 1/2X9 1/2 inches.  It appears in the Pennell catalog as Wuerth number 627.  The edition is about 60 impressions.

This is a fine original etching by American Ex Pat, Mary Cassatt.  The title is: Looking into the Hand Mirror, No. 3.  It was created and printed in 1905, done in drypoint on an antique thin laid type paper, unsigned as typical of this image.  The image measures 8 3/4X5 1/4 inches.  This image appears in the Breeskin catalog as image number 202.  Very light toning to the sheet, some imperfections in the paper from when it was produced, unobtrusive .  A fine impression of this well known image.  "Mary Stevenson Cassatt was an American painter and printmaker. This is a fine original color etching by Austrian artist Luigi Kasimir.  The scene is the New York Stock Exchange, created and printed circa 1932.  This image is hand signed in pencil and numbered 29/100.  The image measures 17 1/4X10 5/8 inches.  This etching is nicely framed with the early label from J. Assenheim in New York.

This incredible image by the British etcher, Arthur Briscoe, measures 8 1/8 x 15 3/8 inches, inked signed and numbered, 73/75, created in 1931. Briscoe studied at the Slade Art School and the Academy Julian in Paris and then spent the rest of his time sailing, becoming one of the most prominent British marine artists of the 20th century. He owned his own three ton cutter which he used to sail around the Essex coast. Also crewing on a Polish ship, he sketched every aspect of life on the boat. Most of Briscoe's etchings show sailing ships and the men who sailed them. His beautifully etched images present an invaluable historical record of the workings of the last great commercial vessels.
