Etching, image size 6 3/8 X 14 9/16 inches, printed in 1942 by Charles White in an edition of 150, 2nd state proof, numbered "II", cat: Fletcher-370, pencil signed and dated. This atmospheric etching is a great example of the delicate lines and precise detail for which Arms was known. This image won several awards in the early 1940s; the Mrs. Henry F Noyes Memorial Prize for best print at the 27th Annual Exhibition of the Society of American Etchers, New York, N.Y. 1943; the First Prize in Black and White Section at the 12th Annual Exhibition of the Irvington Art and Museum Association, Irvington, N. J. 1945; and the First Prize in Black and White at the Annual Art Exhibition of the Bridgeport Art League, Bridgeport, CT. 1945.

This is a fine color aquatint etching by French artist Manuel Robbe.  The title of this work is Cabinet de Toilette.  It was created and printed in1904 in an edition of 65.  It is hand signed by the artist in pencil and inscribed bon a tirer. It was published by Edmond Sagot in Paris.  The image measures 17 1/2X11 3/4 inches.  Nicely framed with archival materials.

This is a fine early printing of the well known etching, Bibi Valentin by American artist James M Whistler.  This etching created in 1859  is impression II/II before the plate was damaged.  It came to us with the original Kappel label on the back.  A fine rich impression printed on a thin laid japan type paper.  Signed  and dated within the plate.  Glascow 34.

This is a fine original etching  by American artist James Whistler.  The subject is: Steet at Saverne, it was created and printed in 1858.  This etching was part of the French Set, It is signed lower left,"Whistler", and also has the publishers name and address lower right edge of the sheet., "Imp, Delatre, Rue St. Jacques".  This image was created in 4 states, this one is 3/4.  The image measures 8 1/8X6 3/16 inches.  Printed on an antique laid type paper

This is a very fine original hand colored aquatint etching by French artist Manuel Robbe.  The title is: La Tasse De The', it was created and printed in 1906 in an edition of 100.  The image measures 19 1/4X 14 3/4 inches.  Printed on a medium weight laid type paper, "Arches" watermark.  Very fine condition, hand signed in pencil in the lower right in the image.

This is a fine original color aquatint etching by French artist Manuel Robbe.  The title of this work is: La Coquette.  It was created and printed circa 1905.  It is hand signed with pen and ink in the lower right border.  Printed on a medium weight laid type paper.  The image measures 14 1/8X10 3/16 inches.  This image appears in the Merrill Chase catalog as image number 22.  A fine example of his "belle epoque" style of expression.  In a fine Foster Brothers gilt frame.

This is an original lithograph by Japanese American artist Yasuo Kuniyoshi.  It is titled The Cyclist.  It was created and printed in 1939 and originally sold through Associated American Artists in New York.  The image measures 12 1/2X8 3/4 inches.  Printed on a medium weight wove type paper.  This lithograph is clearly signed in pencil lower right by the artist.  One of his images from his circus series.

This dramatic scene by Arthur Brisco measures 8 x 11 3/4 inches and is ink signed and numbered. Published in 1924 on laid paper, cat: Hurst-94, framed. Briscoe was one of the finest marine artists' of the 20th. century. He studied at the Slade Art School and the Academy Julian in Paris and then spent the rest of his time sailing. He owned his own three ton cutter which he used to sail around the Essex coast. Also crewing on a Polish ship, he sketched every aspect of life on the boat. Most of Briscoe's etchings show sailing ships and the men who sailed them. His beautifully etched images present an invaluable historical record of the workings of the last great commercial vessels.

This etching by Arthur Briscoe measures 7 7/8 x 11 7/8 inches. Ink signed and numbered on cream laid paper, 1924. Cat: Hurst-85. Framed. Briscoe is known as one of the finest marine etcher of the 20th. century. He owned his own three ton cutter which he used to sail around the Essex coast. Etching and drypoint, early proof of this rare image, image size 7 7/8 x 11 7/8 inches, 1911, cat: Schwartz-76, inscribed "probedruck" (test print) l.l. and signed l.r. both in red crayon, blindstamp l.l. just below image. Corinth began his art career studying at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich and went on to study under Bouguereau at the Academie Julian in Paris. He then returned to Germany and became a member and then president of the Berlin "Sezession".

This is a fine example of the important etching by Jean Baptiste Corot. This etching is titled: Enviorns De Rome, it was created in 1866, this proof is the second state A. of three. Printed on Holland Paper, This printing had the addresses of:" Cadart and Luquet Editeurs, 79 Rue St Jacques 303 Paris" A rich impression, Catalog Delteil 6 II/III. Framed, previously sold by Kennedy Galleries in New York.

This color aquatint etching by the French Expressionist Georges Rouault measures 12 1/8 x 8 3/8 inches, plate signed, from the "Circus of the Shooting Stars" series, a group of eight color aquatints created in 1930, on Rives BFK laid type paper, initialed and dated in the plate, lower right, edition of 270, cat: Wofsy-212.

This is an original etching by Well known Belle Epoch artist Manuel Robbe (1872-1936) The title of this work is: "Parisienne", it was created and printed in 1906 in an edition of 200, published by Georges Petit. The image measures 19 1/2X13 1/2 inches. It is signed in pencil lower left within the image. A fine impression, previously sold by Merrill Chase galleries. Robbe studied at the Academie Julien and the Ecole des Beaux Artes in Paris.
With his hand application of color no two images look exactly the same, a very painterly technique.

This is an original pencil signed impression of the well known lithograph by Stow Wengenroth titled: The Fog Bell, Port Clyde, it was created and printed in 1954 in an edition of 60.  The image measures 10X15 3/4 inches, printed on a medium weight wove type paper.  This image appears in the Stuckey catalog as image number 222.  On of his finest Maine costal scenes for which he is so well known.  Very fine condition.

This is an original mezzotint by British artist Sir Frank Short.  The title is: "Moonrise on the Bure"  This mezzotint was printed in 1922, the image measures 11X15 7/8 inches, printed on a medium weight wove type paper, pencil signed lower right and monogrammed in the plate lower left corner.  A beautiful rich impression, very subtle tonal range throughout.  Beautiful condition.
