This is an original color woodblock print by French artist Auguste Lepere (1849-1918)  The title of this work is: Bucolique Moderne, Modern Arcadia.  It was created and printed in 1882.  Printed on a medium weight wove type paper.  This printing is the first state of V.  The image measures 10X15 inches.  Pencil signed and dated in the lower right border.

This is an original etching by American artist Gottlob L.Briem (1899-1972)  This etching titled lower left in pencil, "Tower Under Construction, George Washington Bridge" has an image size of 14 3/4X9 5/16 inches.  Pencil signed, dated, 1930 and numbered, 47/100.  Printed on a watermarked laid type paper.  A very dramatic composition, one of his best efforts.

This is a fine original etching by French artist James Tissot.  The title is: Reverie, it was created and printed in 1880 in an edition of 100.  The image measures 9X 4 7/16 inches.  The image is plate signed and dated upper right corner of the image, printed on a medium weight laid type paper.  A very rich impression, nicely framed.  This image appears in the Wentworth catalog as image number 52.

This is a very fine original drypoint etching by French Impressionist Berthe Morisot.  This etching created and printed in 1889 is the second state of two.  Printed on wove type paper this is a fine impression prior to the later impressions where the cancellation holes were filled.  The image measures 7 1/2X5 1/2 inches.  Unsigned as issued, nicely framed, in fine condition.  A rich impression.  A fine image of Berthe Morisot   drawing with her daughter...

This is an original etching by American artist James McNeill Whistler.  The title is: La Vieille aux Loques, part of his "French Set series" created in 1858.  The image measures 8 1/8X5 3/4 inches.  Signed Whistler mid right side of the image, platesigned.  Printed on an early laid type sheet.  This image appears in the Kennedy catalog as image number 21.  The 4th state of 4 before the cancellation of the plate.

Etching from his Venice series of etchings. Done in 1925. Number 21 out of the edition of 80, This etching appears in the Hardie catalog as image number 250. The image measures 7 1/8 x 15 3/4 inches. J Whatman watermark laid-type paper. Collector's annotations in pencil at the lower edge of the sheet.

This is a fine original lithograph by American artist William S. Schwartz.  The title is: Portrait of the Artist's Wife and her Grandfather.  THis lithograph was created and printed in 1929.  The image measures 21 1/4X16 5/8 inches.  Hand signed in pencil lower left and also signed within the plate.  William S. Schwartz was born in Smorgon, Russia, February 23, 1896.  He immigrated to the USA at the age of 17 and became a successful artist moving to Chicago and studying at the Art Institute.

This 1875 etching by Johan Barthold Jongkind measures 5 3/4 x 8 3/4 inches, plate signed and dated, IV/VI, J-19. Title, publisher and artist printed below image. Framed.

This is a fine original etching by American Ex Pat, Mary Cassatt.  The title is: Looking into the Hand Mirror, No. 3.  It was created and printed in 1905, done in drypoint on an antique thin laid type paper, unsigned as typical of this image.  The image measures 8 3/4X5 1/4 inches.  This image appears in the Breeskin catalog as image number 202.  Very light toning to the sheet, some imperfections in the paper from when it was produced, unobtrusive .  A fine impression of this well known image.  "Mary Stevenson Cassatt was an American painter and printmaker. She was born in Allegheny, Pennsylvania, but lived much of her adult life in France, where she befriended Edgar Degas and exhibited with the Impressionists. "

This is an original etching and aquatint by French artist Louis Legrand.  This image from his Les Petites du Ballet is titled: Le Deshabillage, it was created and printed in 1893.  This impression, pencil signed, published by Gustave Pellet in Paris, the red stamp lower right border.  this impression is also inscribed as "Epreuvre  d' artiste" lower left.  The image measures 14 1/2X8 1/2 inches. This image is from the 10th state of 10.  This etching is nicely framed with archival materials.

A very rare lithograph by the British artist Edmund Blampied measuring 17 1/2 x 14 inches, pencil signed and numbered 3/3. Edmund Blampied was a very successful artist and illustrator in early 20th century Britain. He illustrated many books and magazines, but is best known for his remarkable skills as a printmaker. He was an important figure in the 'British Etching Revival' of the early 20th century, and was elected to the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers in 1920.

Aquatint, image size 10 1/2 x 16 1/4 inches, 1918, cat. Hardie-163, pencil signed. One of Short's largest aquatints, this scene depicts two fishermen on the Bure at Stokesby Ferry near Acle in Norfolk.
