This is a very richly inked original etching by American artist John Costigan. The image size is 8 7/8 x 13 7/8 inches, published in 1937 by the Associated American Artists, cat: Costigan-60, pencil signed and titled, tastefully framed. Costigan was known for his evocative images of hardworking farmers and their families, often set against the backdrop of the fields and landscapes of their daily lives.

This etching attributed to Nicolaes Berchem measures 10 1/4 x 8 1/8 inches. Berchem was a well-known Dutch painter and etcher who created many pastoral landscapes often with biblical themes.
