Andrew Affleck was one of Britain's most important architectural etchers of the early twentieth century. Today, the largest collections of Andrew Affleck's original etchings are housed in the British Museum, London.

This 1913, early trial proof, by the American artist, Arthur Bowen Davies, measures 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 inches, cat: Czestochowski 46, stamped estate signature, drypoint on zinc, printed by Frederick J. Reynolds, edition of 10(?). Davies was known for his unique decorative style, often visualized in a fantasy world of female figures. One of the most respected and successful American artists, he was a member of the "Eight" and was the principal organizer of the 1913 Armory Show. Label with artist provenance included.

This is an original early etching by American artist Stephen Parrish.  The title is: "Calling the Geese", it was created and printed in 1880.  A rare image, not published by Parrish.  The image measures 4 3/8X12 1/4 inches.  This impression is plate signed only.  Minimum border at the top of the image.  This image appears in the Schneider catalog as image number 7.

This image measures 6 7/8 x 9 7/8 inches and is pencil signed, c.1930. Philip Kappel was born in Hartford, Connecticut and educated at the Pratt Institute in New York. He was employed as an artist for several shipping companies and much of his work documents these ships and their sailors. At age 26, Kappel was the youngest person ever admitted to "Who's Who in America."
