Etching, image size 6 3/8 X 14 9/16 inches, printed in 1942 by Charles White in an edition of 150, 2nd state proof, numbered "II", cat: Fletcher-370, pencil signed and dated. This atmospheric etching is a great example of the delicate lines and precise detail for which Arms was known. This image won several awards in the early 1940s; the Mrs. Henry F Noyes Memorial Prize for best print at the 27th Annual Exhibition of the Society of American Etchers, New York, N.Y. 1943; the First Prize in Black and White Section at the 12th Annual Exhibition of the Irvington Art and Museum Association, Irvington, N. J. 1945; and the First Prize in Black and White at the Annual Art Exhibition of the Bridgeport Art League, Bridgeport, CT. 1945.

This is an original hand signed lithographic poster by Russian born French artist Marc Chagall.  The title is Nice, Soleil Fleurs, The Bay of Angels.  It was created and printed in 1962.  The image measures 39X24 3/8 inches.  Hand signed lower right in pencil.  This poster was published by Mourlot in Paris and appears in the Sorlier catalog as image number 350.  This poster is in very nice condition, framed.  This was a popular poster for Chagall and  it is rare to find a hand signed impression of it.

This is an original etching by American artist of the Ash Can School, John Sloan (1871-1951)  The title is Mars and Bacchante, it was created and printed in 1915 in an edition of 100 proofs.  This one is hand signed and titled in pencil by the artist.  The image measures 4 1/4X6 inches.  Printed on a medium weight laid type paper, Printed by Charles White.

This etching by Arthur Briscoe measures 7 7/8 x 11 7/8 inches. Ink signed and numbered on cream laid paper, 1924. Cat: Hurst-85. Framed. Briscoe is known as one of the finest marine etcher of the 20th. century. He owned his own three ton cutter which he used to sail around the Essex coast. Also crewing on a Polish ship, he sketched every aspect of life on the boat. He studied at the Slade Art School and the Academy Julian in Paris.

This is an original rare etching and aquatint by German artist Heinrich Vogeler (1872-1942)  The title: Weihnachten translates: Christmas, was created and printed in 1912 in an edition of only 30 impressions.  This etching printed in blue toned ink has an image size of: 14 7/8X11 1/8 inches.  The platemark measures 15 5/8X 11 5/8 inches.  Printed on a soft wove type paper.  Pencil signed lower right, published by Otto Felsing,Berlin, in pencil lower left, titled lower center border.  Very fine condition, a rich impression.  A fine example of German expressionism.  This image is cataloged as Rief 48a.

This is an original prize winning etching by American artist John Taylor Arms.  The title is Sunlight on Stone, Caudebec-en-Caux.  The image created in 1931 measures 14 1/2X7 5/8 inches.  Printed on an antique laid type paper, hand signed in pencil, and inscribed "Ed 100 II" lower left, also with a collectors seal "HOW" in red, lower right corner of the sheet.  This image appears in the Arms catalog as number 241.  This image was part of his French Church series no.31.  This image won numerous awards including best print in the Arts and Crafts Association in Connecticut in 1952.

Etching and drypoint, early proof of this rare image, image size 7 7/8 x 11 7/8 inches, 1911, cat: Schwartz-76, inscribed "probedruck" (test print) l.l. and signed l.r. both in red crayon, blindstamp l.l. just below image. Corinth began his art career studying at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich and went on to study under Bouguereau at the Academie Julian in Paris. He then returned to Germany and became a member and then president of the Berlin "Sezession".

Drypoint etching C. 1900. Pencil signed in the lower right. A rare print. Repaired tear in the top edge of the paper, not in the image. An intense and brooding portrait with a rich drypoint burr. Plate measures 21 x 13 inches on 26 x 18 inch wove type paper. Helleu began his art career when he enrolled at the Ecole des Beaux Arts and worked as an apprentice for Theodore Deck, decorating ceramic plates with women's portraits. He became friends with many artists of La Belle Epoch, including John Singer Sargent, Whistler, Tissot, Monet and Rodin, and became well known for his elegant portraits of women of French society. He traveled between France and America, and in 1912 was commissioned to create the astrological ceiling decoration in New York's Grand Central Station.

This is an original etching by Well known Belle Epoch artist Manuel Robbe (1872-1936) The title of this work is: "Parisienne", it was created and printed in 1906 in an edition of 200, published by Georges Petit. The image measures 19 1/2X13 1/2 inches. It is signed in pencil lower left within the image. A fine impression, previously sold by Merrill Chase galleries. Robbe studied at the Academie Julien and the Ecole des Beaux Artes in Paris.
With his hand application of color no two images look exactly the same, a very painterly technique.

This is a fine Modernist lithograph by Russian born artist Alexander Archipenko.  The title is: Coquette.  This lithograph, printed in blue is hand signed lower right in blue pencil.  The image measures 14X10 inches.  It was published by Associated American Artists in New York, in 1950.  It was printed in an edition of 150, it appears in the Karshan catalog as image number 31.  Archipenko was active in the Cubist Movement while living in Paris, he later moved to the USA.  This lithograph is framed and in very fine condition, the original AAA Label is on the back.

This is an original lithograph by Japanese American artist Yasuo Kuniyoshi.  It is titled The Cyclist.  It was created and printed in 1939 and originally sold through Associated American Artists in New York.  The image measures 12 1/2X8 3/4 inches.  Printed on a medium weight wove type paper.  This lithograph is clearly signed in pencil lower right by the artist.  One of his images from his circus series.
