The Strike, 1938

This is a very fine unsigned proof drypoint etching by American sporting artist Churchill Ettinger.  The title of this work is Strike, it was created and printed in 1938.  The image measures 12 5/8X9 1/2 inches.  We found this scarce etching only at the Brooks Museum in Memphis TN.   It may be quite rare.  A beautiful impression with fine use of plate tone in the sky and water.  Identified in the lower border in pencil.  Beautiful condition, matted not framed, full margins all around.
