Westminister Palace, 1884

This is a fine example of the etched work by French artist Felix Buhot.  One of his most important efforts.  This image is of Westminister on the Thames.  It was created and printed in 1884, the seventh state of seven.  It is both pencil signed and has the artist's red owl stamp in the lower border.  The image measures 11 3/4X15 3/4 inches.  Very heavy inking in two tones, black for the center image and a warm toned inking on the extensive remarques around the edges.  This image is in the Bourcard & Goodfriend catalog  as image number 155.
