This is a rare etching by American artist of the Southwest, George Elbert Burr.  The title is: Whirlwinds, Mojave Desert, California no. 2.  It was created and printed circa 1930.  This pencil signed and titled etching measures 8X10 inches.  This appears in the Burr catalog as image number 281.

This is an original etching and drypoint by American artist Louis Rosenberg.  The title is: The Grand Canal, Venice, it is printed on a medium weight laid type paper.  This etching was created and printed in 1927.  The image measures 8 7/8X13 7/8 inches.  Hand signed in pencil lower right border, very fine condition, nice use of plate tone in the sky and water.  A very rare image, Rosenberg at his best!!!...

This is an original wood block print by American artist Isac Friedlander.  Created circa 1930 this image is titled: "Companions", It is pencil signed and titled in the lower border.  The image measures 11 3/4X9 3/4 inches.  Printed on a medium weight wove type paper.  Isac Friedlander (1890-1968) was born in Mitau, Latvia. He was arrested in 1906 and imprisoned by Russian authorities for anti- Czarist Political activities from 1906 to 1912. He studied art at the Academy of Rome, Italy from 1913 until 1917. He was a friend of Russian writer Maxim Gorky. Friedlander began his printing career in 1915. In 1917 he repatriated to Russia during the Kerensky regime, but in 1929 Friedlander immigrated to the US with the encouragement of his cousin Joseph Hirshhorn.

This is a fine modernist wood engraving by American artist John P. Heins (1896-1969)  This wood engraving was created and printed 1936 in an edition of about 28, created for the WPA in NYC.  The image measures 5 7/8X7 3/4 inches.  This is a rare unstamped proof purchased from the artist's estate.

This is an original aquatint etching by American artist Lester G. Hornby.  It is titled: Marabout Tombs, Tunis, 1909, and is described in the plate as: "Evening of the Bal Masque", the image measures 9 1/2X14 1/2 inches, pencil signed lower right corner.  Printed on a medium weight laid type paper.  This is a very scarce etching.  It appears in the Falk catalog as image number 301.

This is a fine collaboration between Kerr Eby and John Taylor Arms.  This image is titled; Medieval Pageantry, it was created and printed in 1933 in an edition of 100, 50 to Arms and 50 to Eby.  The image measures 12 5/8X8 5/8 inches.  Hand signed in pencil lower right by both artists.  This image appears in the Giardina catalog as image number 179.  The subject is Sainte Radegonde in Poitiers, France.

This is a fine example of his Spanish Church Series by American artist John Taylor Arms.  The title is: Puerta Del Obispo, Zamora (The Bishop's Door, Zamora)  This etching was created and printed in 1933.  This image printed on a grey toned, watermarked, laid type paper measures 12 1/2X7 1/8 inches.  It is inscribed "to my friends, mr. and mrs Andrew Daglish"  (The British printmaker and his wife)  The beautifully detailed image appears in the Fletcher catalog as image number 266.

An excellent example of the artistry of the American printmaker, John Taylor Arms. This image measures 12 1/4 x 7 3/4 inches, pencil signed and dated 1925, from his Spanish Church Series #5, printed by Frederick Reynolds in an edition of 152, cat: Fletcher 164. John Taylor Arms was one of the foremost American printmakers of the 20th century, known for his exquisite compositions and exacting details which gave his etchings a very realistic, almost photographic appearance. He specialized in images of European architecture and cathedrals.

This is an original wood block print by Jamaican artist  Albert Huie.  This image is titled: In The Woods, created and printed circa 1945.  This woodblock is hand signed and titled in pencil in the lower border.  The image measures 9 1/2X7 1/2 inches.  

Albert Huie (1920-2010) was a seminal figure in the formation and development of a national Jamaican artistic identity, overcoming the hurdles of a colonial-based system of race and class distinctions to become the first native-born Jamaican artist to attain international renown and respect. Working primarily in the areas of landscape, portraiture, and figurative art, he established a multiple award-winning career that spanned seven decades and earned him the title of “the Father of Jamaican Painting.”

This is an original pencil signed lithograph by American artist Albert Sterner.  The title is: The Mussel Openers, Newport.  This image was created and printed in 1913.  The image measures 17 1/8X13 3/4 inches.  A scarce image created in a very small edition.  The only other example can be found in the Amon Carter Museum.

This c. 1940 lithograph by the American artist Hannes Bok measures 9 1/4 x 13 5/8 inches, pencil signed and titled. AAA label with artist provenance included, edition of 250. Bok's real name was Wayne Francis Woodard, a talented artist, apparent at an early age, who went on to become an illustrator, writer of poetry and science fiction, painter and printmaker. His mentors were Maxfield Parrish and Ray Bradbury, both having profound influences on him and his work.
