This is a fine dramatic study of old ships in the harbor by American artist Stow Wengenroth..  This image is from Boothbay Maine.  It was created and printed in 1937 in an edition of 65.  This lithograph is hand signed in pencil and has an image size of 8 7/8X15 3/4 inches.  It appears in the Stuckey catalog as image number 71.  A striking image, one Wengenroth's best..

This is an original hand colored lithograph by American artist Don Freeman.  The title is: "To see the mayor".  This image was created and printed in 1937 in an edition of 25, far fewer were hand colored by the artist.  This image is pencil signed, the image measures 12 1/8X9 inches.  According to the catalog: "On his weekly radio program, Mayor La Guardia encouraged new Yorkers to bring their complaints to him personally.  Freeman drew a group of constituents making appointments with the mayor's secretary"  This lithograph is framed.

John Taylor Arms was one of the foremost American printmakers of the 20th century, known for his exquisite compositions and exacting details.

Lithograph, image size 18 x 13 inches, edition of 30, 1945, print signed, dated, edition number, and title in pencil. Plate signed "BS" l.r. Fine & Looney 246. Spruance studied in Paris after winning the coveted Cresson Scholarship in 1928 while attending college at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art. He studied with Edmond and Jaques Desjobert in Paris before returning to the US and continuing his nearly forty year career as a printmaker.

This is an incredible rare impression of the well known Panama Canal etching, The Guard Gate, Gatun Lock.  It was created and printed in 1912. Both etching and drypoint, with a rich burr in the shadow areas.   Pencil signed and annotated "imp" meaning that he printed this impression on his own press.  It is printed on a blue toned laid type paper,  Very fine condition, richly printed.  The image measures 12 1/2X9 1/2 inches.  It appears in the Pennell catalog as Wuerth number 627.  The edition is about 60 impressions.
