This is an original etching by American artist Charles Adams Platt. The title of this work is :"The East River Bridge" - Brooklyn Bridge It was created and printed in 1888 and published by Frederick Stokes New York. The image measures 6 3/4X10 7/8 inches. It is signed and dated in the plate and also pencil signed lower right border.

Drypoint from 1885. Catalog: Rice 70. An etching of the covered bridge with the Statehouse in the distance. Plate measures 11 1/2 x 17 1/2 inches on 19 1/2 x 25 1/4 inch handmade Japan paper. Pencil signed in the lower right, plate signed, titled, and dated in the lower left. This print has good plate toning and a rich drypoint burr. C. A. Platt was born in New York and studied art at the National Academy of Design, the Art Students League and the Academie Julian. He was a very successful painter and etcher, known for his delicately rendered New England landscapes and harbor scenes. He was also a very talented architect and a member of the Saint-Gaudens Art Colony in Cornish, NH.

This is an original etching by American artist Charles Adams Platt.  This harbor scene was created after a painting by Henry Ward Ranger.  We are uncertain as to where this scene originates.  The image measures 16X21 inches.  It is signed in pencil by both Platt and Ranger.  This was published byRadtke, Lauckner and Co in 1888. It has a remarque in the lower border of two fishing boats at the dock.  Possibly a view of the Weeping Tower in Amsterdam.
