20th Century American Prints

This is a fine pencil signed impression , an original  wood engraving created by American artist Asa Cheffetz.  This image, Titled: Vermont,  was created in 1941  and sold through  Associated American Artists in New York.  The image measures 6 1/4X10 inches.  It appears in the Springfield catalog as image number 59.

THis is a fine original lithograph by Chicago artist Helen Noel.  This pencil signed impression showing a group waiting for the subway was created and printed circa 1940's.  The image measures 9X11 inches, some minor spots of rust, unobtrusive.

This is an original color etching by American artist Dorsey Potter Tyson.  The title is Siamese Dancers, created and printed in 1928 in an edition of 100.  This impression is numbered as XXVIII.  It is also hand signed in pencil. The image measures 8X9 7/8 inches.  It came to us in the original frame from Casson Galleries in Boston.  

This is a fine original lithograph by American artist Daniel Putnam Brinley 1879-1963.  This image is a view of Assisi that he created on a European trip he took in the 1920's.  This image is hand signed in pencil, and has an image size of 14X10 7/8 inches.Brinley was a MacDowell Colony Fellow and exhibited at the Stieglitz gallery in New York City.  The image is numbered lower left 12.

Converse.  The title is Cotton-Wood Grove, Taos, created and printed circa 1940's numbered as 8/25.  The image measures 9 3/4X13 3/4 inches.  Printed on a wove type sheet.  This came from the collection of Henry Emil Scherer.

This is a fine etching by American sporting artist Roland Clark.  The title of this work is: The Welcome, created and printed in 1926 in an edition of 65.  The image measures 10X8 inches.  Hand signed in pencil lower right and also titled lower in the border.  Printed on a wove type sheet with the Gelder Zonen watermark.  Fine use of plate tone in the water and sky.

This is an original etching created by Provincetown artist, Reynolds Beal.  The title is: Fisherman's Race off Gloucester, Henry Ford Wins, created and printed in 1930.  A very rare image, hand signed in pencil, titled and dated.  The image measures 7 7/8X12 3/4  inches.  Printed on a medium weight laid type sheet, very nice condition.  This etching came to us from the Beal Family.

This is a fine etching and drypoint by American artist Ronau Woiceske.  It is titled Connecticut Farm Scene, created and printed circa 1930.  The image measures 12 7/8X10 3/4 inches.  Hand signed in pencil, printed on a medium weight wove type sheet.  

This is an original pencil signed etching by American modernist artist Leonard Baskin.  The title of this work is Torso, it was created and printed in 1969.  This impression is numbered 35/90.  The image measures 17 1/2X12 inches, on a sheet size of 29X20 inches.  Printed on a wove type arches sheet.  The image appears as 731 in the baskin catalog.
