This is a very rare etching from a scarce, unpublished plate by Francis Sydney Unwin. The image size is 12 1/8 x 16 inches, 1916, pencil signed; a richly inked impression on a fine cream colored Japan paper. Unwin studied at the Winchester School of Art and the Slade School; he traveled extensively throughout Europe and spent several months in Egypt drawing the tomb interiors for an archaeological expedition. He then settled in London, becoming known for his landscapes and remarkable interior architectural views, such as this finely detailed image of the Albert Hall. Unwin died at the age of 40, after suffering from tuberculosis for much of his adult life.

This is an original Arthur Briscoe etching, titiled: "Heavy Canvas", this etching was created and printed in 1931 in an edition of 75.  The image is hand signed in pen and ink and editioned in the lower border.  The image measures 13 1/2X8 3/8 inches.  The subject shows four men making fast the crossjack of a four masted barque.  This etching is archivally framed.

Simon.  The scene is: The Kiosks on the Grand Boulevards, in Paris.  This etching was created and printed in 1926 in an edition of 200, published by G. Petit, Paris.  The image appears in the Novak catalog as image number N.123.  The image measures 13 3/4X16 3/4 inches.  This etching is in the early frame with french matting.  Pencil signed lower right and numbered 6 of the edition.

This is an original etching and aquatint by French artist Louis Legrand.  This image was created for his series, La Petite Classe, created in 1908.  This pencil signed and editioned etching is titled: Entree de Scene  (stage Entrance)  It has a plate size of 15 3/4X11 1/4 inches.  It has the number 7/100 from the edition of 100, published by G. Pellet, Paris.  A fine impression on Japon ou velin paper.

This is a fine line engraving by British artist Stanley Anderson.  The title is The Old Tinker.  This pencil signed impression measures 7 X5 1/2  inches, created and printed in 1933.  This image appears in the Anderson Catalog as image number 208.  The tinker is depicted soldering a patch to a leaking kettle while his wife is about to renew the cane seat of an old chair.  Anderson often returned to the subject of the wanderer, of itinerants such as wayfarers pedlars and gypsies making their way through town.  This engraving is in a modern frame with archival materials.

This is an original pencil signed mezzotint by British artist Sir Frank Short.  The subject is Sir Francis Seymour Haden aged 74.  Haden was the "Father Figure of the British etching Revival".  This image measures 11 1/8X14 1/4 inches.  This mezzotint was created after the painting by G.P. Jacomb Hood.  This mezzotint is in perfect condition, nicely framed with archival materials.
