This is an original pencil signed and titled woodblock print by American artist Isac Friedlander. The title of this work is "Jeremiah", created and printed circa 1940. The image measures 6 3/4X5 7/8 inches. Isac Friedlander (1890-1968) was born in Latvia. In 1912 he went to Italy where he met and worked with Russian artist Maxim Gorky. During this period he also received his only art training, studying etching, drawing and relief printing at the Academy of Rome. In 1937, he emigrated to New York where he worked full time as an artist until his death. He is best known for his woodcuts and etchings, and many museums have works by the artist, including the Smithsonian, Bibliotheque Nationale, and the Brooklyn Museum.

This is an early engraving by Bernardus Baron (1696-1766) Portrait of "John, Count of Nassau-Siegen and family", This engraving was created and printed in 1761. It is after the painting by Van Dyck. The engraving measures 20 1/2X18 1/2 inches, trimmed on the three sides, a tear in the upper right corner, not into the image area.Printed on a heavy weight laid type paper.

Engraving after Titian. According to Louis Thies, the painting in the Louvres "is supposed to represent the Duke Alfonso I of Ferrara and Laura Bianti." Image size 13 1/16 x 10 3/4 in, sheet size 16 1/4 x 12 3/8 in. Randall Coll. #12117, Fogg Museum provenance.

Drypoint etching. Max Blach Wien collector's stamp on back. Pencil signed "A. Legros" in the lower right. Plate measures 3 7/8 x 6 3/4 inches on 7 x 9 1/4 inch watermarked laid paper. An atmospheric scene with a rich drypoint burr. Catalog: Bliss 364. A rare print.

This airy, impressionistic line etching depicts a man fishing in a forested landscape. Etched circa 1900, its measurements are 5 7/8 x 7 3/4 inches and it is signed "A. Legros" lower right. Provenance: Baldwin-Wallace College.

This atmospheric winter scene by the American artist, Ronau Woiceske measures 8 3/8 x 11 inches, pencil signed and titled. Woiceske was born in Bloomington Indiana and studied at the St Louis School of Fine Arts and at the Artist Colony in Woodstock, NY with Birge Harrison and John Carlson. He was involved in the WPA, and became known for his atmospheric etchings of snowy winter scenes. He was a member of the Philadelphia Print Club and the National Association of Etchers.
