Percival Gaskell

Etching, image size 5 5/8 x 9 7/8 inches, pencil signed. Born in England and educated in Cambridge, Gaskell studied art in London and Italy before studying under Sir Frank Short at the Royal College of Art.

This very fine impression with its deep rich tones measures 11 3/4 x 7 3/4 inches, c. 1930. Presented on cream wove paper, this original drypoint has wide margins with a sheet size of 15 1/2 x 10 1/4 inches and is pencil signed on the lower border. It links the A493 running along the south bank of the Mawddach to the A496 running along the north."
