This is an original lithograph by French artist Georges Rouault.  This is a portrait of Gustave Moreau, the teacher and mentor of Rouault.  It is known as the portrait in the little hat.  This pencil signed impression is the 3rd state of 4 with the edition of 25.  It was later published in state 4 with an edition of 350.  This lithograph was created and printed in 1926.  The image measures 9 1/8X6 3/4 inches.  This image is cataloged as F. 57.

This is a beautifully colored etching and aquatint by French master of the Belle Epoch, Manuel Robbe (1872-1936) The title of this work is" Claudine" it was created and printed in 1903 and Published by Sagot in Paris. The image measures 12X9 3/4 inches, printed on a medium weight Arches watermarked laid paper. deckeled edges, a very rich impression, excellent condition. Robbe studied at the Academie Julien and then the Ecole des Beaux Artes. His technique of hand coloring the images means that no two are exactly alike, a very painterly technique.

This is a pencil signed, titled and numbered etching by American modernist artist Leonard Baskin.  The title is Distension, created and printed in 1969.  The sheet size measures 38X24 inches.  Numbered 30/115.  Printed on a heavy weight wove type sheet.  The image is also embossed in the sheet.  The image appears in the Baskin catalog as image number 522.

This is an original lithograph by American artist John S. deMartelly.  The image, Old Moon was created and printed in 1938 and sold by Associated American Artists in New York.  The image measures 10 1/8X13 3/4 inches.  One of his best regionalist images.  Much in the style of Thomas Hart Benton of whom the artist knew and worked with  while at the Kansas City Art Institiute in the 1930's and early 40's.  This lithograph is framed with the AAA label on the back.

This is an original mezzotint engraving by Dutch artist Jacob Gole (1660-1737)  This image, The Drawing Lesson was created after the painting by Godfrey Schalcken.  This image identified in the lower border has an image size of 9 3/4X7 7/8 inches.  Printed on an early laid type paper, some foxing but overall very fine condition.  It has a collectors seal in the lower border, "H de t stat".

This is a fine pencil signed etching by American artist John Sloan.  This image is titled: Bandit's Cave, created and  printed in 1920 as a presentation print for the New Republic Portfolio of six etchings.  The image measures 7X5 inches, very nice condition.  Printed in an edition of 500.  Morse 195.

This is a fine award winning etching by American artist John Taylor Arms.  The title is: Reflections at Finchingfield, it was created and printed in  1938.  From his English Series, this is the 2nd state of two, printed by David Strang in an edition of 100 as inscribed on the etching lower left also hand signed and dated in pencil lower right border.  This large etching measures 7 1/16X17 1/8 inches.  Found in the Fletcher catalog as image number 311.  This image won prices from the Chicago Society of Etchers, the Lotus Club and Northwest Printmakers.  One of his finest images with the  incredible reflection found in the pond below the buildings. ( our photo doesnt show a fraction of the image on the right side, this etching is overall complete with good borders all around.

This is a beautiful color aquatint etching by the French artist Auguste Brouet.  The title is: Arabesque,  created and printed in 1920 in an edition of 250, this impression is numbered 155/250.  Hand signed in pencil, A ballet scene with two dancers performing an arabesque. At the back an opulent stage set, with other performers standing in the wings.  The image measures 10 3/4X15 inches.  This etching is in fine condition, beautfully Framed with archival materials.

This is a very rare original etching by French artist Charles Emile Jacque.  The title of this work is: "The Large Sheepfold (La Grande Bergerie)"  It was created and printed in 1859 with an image that measures 15 1/4X20 7/8 inches.  One of his largest etchings.  This is the second of two states with the edition of 129.  This image is made up of etching and drypoint and according to the catalog there is also some burin work in the image.  Printed on a wove type paper, this etching was originally sold by Kennedy gallery in New York.  There was a partial label on the back.  This etching is pencil signed lower right, "Ch Jacque".....

This is a rare aquatint etching by French artist Manuel Robbe.  The title is; Confidence au Miroir, a fine impression  of a young woman studying herself in the mirror.  The image measures 17X10 1/4 inches.  It is hand signed in pencil within the lower left corner of the image and numbered as "no.57", in the lower right border.  This image is very scarce, no evidence of it showing up on the market.  Printed on a laid type paper with the "arches" watermark.

This is a fine original drypoint etching by American artist Frank Benson.  The title is: Ducks at Play, created and printed in  1923 in an edition of 150 proofs.  This pencil signed etching has an image area of 10 7/8X13 3/4 iinches.  Printed on a Japanese Vellum, this image appears in the Ordeman catalog as image number 217.  One of his largest etchings.

This is an original lithograph created by Japanese American artist Yasuo Kuniyoshi.  The title is Burlesque Queen, it was created and printed in 1936 for the American Artists School in New York City.  It was created in an edition of 100.  The image measures 11 5/8X9 1/2 inches.  This image is plate signed as issued, it is inscribed in pencil lower left "100 prints".  The sheet has the AAS blind stamp in the lower border and with a partial ink stamp on the back of the sheet from the American Artists School.
