This wonderful Vermont landscape by Luigi Lucioni measures 8 3/4 x 13 3/8 inches and is pencil signed. Created in 1944, this scene is typical of Lucioni's love of the Vermont landscape which he enjoyed immensely, spending his summers there and winters in NYC. He was introduce to etching by the American artist William Auerbach-Levy at the National Academy of Design where Lucioni attended.

Lucioni was known for his remarkably detailed etchings of the New England landscape, and this image is a great example of the textures and sense of atmosphere that he could bring to life.

Lucioni was known for his remarkably detailed etchings of the New England landscape that he could bring to life and gained worldwide attention as one of the great Regionalist artists.
