This is an original pencil signed impression of William Strang's etching, Death and the Ploughman's Wife.  This etching was created and printed in 1888.  It was published in an edition of 110 impressions. This image appears in the Binyon catalog as image number 116.  THe image measures 5X7 7/8 inches.  Printed on a medium weight wove type paper.

A very fine original etching, this image measures 6 x 8 3/4 inches, 1877, cat: Schneiderman-153, pencil signed. Sir Francis Seymour Haden was one of the most important British etchers of the 19th century, along with his brother in law James Whistler. In addition to being a highly regarded artist he was a successful surgeon, accomplished author and dedicated angler. He was a founder and the first president of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers, and was knighted in 1894.

This is a fine original etching by French Barbizon artist Adolphe Appian.  The title is: Au Valromey.  This etching was created and printed in 1868, this is a very rare impression done on a thin laid type paper before the addition of the type setting below the image as it was published later by Cadart . published in Paris by Cadart & Luce (fl.1867–1870/1) as plate 6 to the art periodical in its first year, “L'Illustration nouvelle par une société de peintres-graveurs à l'eau-forte”, vol. 1, 1868. The image measures 4 1/8X7 5/8 inches.  Signed in the plate upper right corner of the image.
