This is one of the most important works by American artist Troy Kinney (1871-1938)  This artist was best known for his studies of Ballet and Modern Dance.  The title of this work is: Lopokova and Nijinski in Les Sylphides.  It was created and printed in 1916, This hand colored etchings is numbered as 76/82.  The image measures 12 1/8X9 7/8 inches.  The etching is hand signed in pencil lower left border.  Very fine condition, the colors are richer than our image suggests.  The image appears in the 1020 Kinney catalog as image number 11.

This is a rare original drypoint etching by American artist Gifford Beal.  The subject is one of his Circus series, taken from the Ringling Brothers circus when it came to New York City..  This image is pencil signed and measures 8 3/4X122 inches.  It is numbered as 100 imp.   This fine etching came to us from the family  of the artist.

This is a great London etching by American artist Clifford Addams, image size 8 7/8 x 7 1/2 inches, c. 1902, edition of 75, inscribed in the plate, "Loci dulcedo nos attinet" (the sweetness of the place holds us), pencil signed and numbered. Clifford Addams grew up outside Philadelphia and studied art in the U. S. before leaving to further his studies in Europe. He traveled extensively throughout Holland, France, Spain, Italy and Britain, and spent several years in London studying etching with Whistler. He later returned to the U. S. and worked out of studios in both New York and London. He was known for his European city scenes, such as this Whistleresque image of a man gazing out over the busy Thames.

This is an original pencil signed etching by American artist Joseph Pennell.  The title is The Debacle of De Lesseps, Panama.  This was part of his Panama Canal series that Pennell created in 1912, showing the construction of the Canal through Panama.  THe title refers to The French diplomat Ferdinand de Lesseps, who undertook the project in 1875 and failed.  The image measures 9 3/8X12 1/4 inches.  Printed on a medium weight watermarked laid type sheet.
