This is an original wood engraving pencil signed by American artist Thomas Nason.  The title is: High Spruces, created and printed in 1942 in an edition of 50.  The image printed on a thin Japan type sheet measures 5X10 inches,  The inage appears in the BPL catalog as image number 331.

This is a fine hand colored etching by American artist Dorsey Potter Tyson.  This study of a Musician is pencil signed and has an image size of  8X6 inches.  Very nicely framed with an orientalist style frame with French matting.

This finely printed wood engraving by Surendorf measures 8 3/4 x 10 3/8 inches. It is matted and framed which measures 15 x 16 inches. The title, edition number and signature is in pencil on the lower margin. This strong impression is in excellent condition. Surendorf studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Art Students League in NYC. He was a full member of the California Society of Etchers and the San Francisco Art Association. His works are included in the collections of the Achenbach Foundation in San Francisco, the Smithsonian Institute and the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.

This is a fine award winning etching by American artist John Taylor Arms.  From his English Series, this image is Cavendish Church, created and printed in 1944.  This is the second state of two printed in an edition of 155, printed by David Strang.  The image measures 9 1/2X5 1/2 inches.  according to the Fletcher catalog the first state of this etching took Arms 236 hours to complete, the second state had an additional 53 3/4 hours of work done to complete it. This appears in the Fletcher catalog as image number 381.

A beautiful sun drenched scene by Walter MacEwen, etching, image size 10 x 5 7/8 inches, c. 1910, printed by Delatre, pencil signed. Born in Chicago, MacEwen traveled to Europe to study art, first in Munich with Frank Duveneck, then in Paris with Corman and Robert-Fleury. He stayed in Europe for many years with studios in both Paris and Holland, where he was also a founding member of the Egmond Artist Colony. Primarily a painter, MacEwen was known for his impressionistic portraits and genre scenes which were quite well received in both Europe and America. His etchings, which are quite scarce, are developed in a very painterly style, reflecting the delicate use of light and shadow of his paintings.

This 1920 etching by the American artist Joseph Pennell measures 9 3/4 x 7 7/8 inches, pencil signed, edition of probably 50 proofs, cat: Wuerth 740. Pennell was an important American etcher, lithographer and illustrator. Good friends with James McNeill Whistler, he and his wife co-authored his biography. Pennell was known for his continued experimentation with technique and style, producing cityscapes, landscapes and marine scenes. He also printed many of his own images.

This is an original etching by American artist Joseph Pennell.  The title is "The Latest Tower", it was created and printed in 1923 in an edition of 40.  The image measures 12 1/8X9 1/4 inches.  This image is hand signed in pencil with the "imp" after the name meaning that the artist printed this proof himself.  This etching is printed on an antique laid type paper.  This image appears in the Wuerth catalog as image number 815.

This atmospheric winter scene by the American artist, Ronau Woiceske measures 8 3/8 x 11 inches, pencil signed and titled. Woiceske was born in Bloomington Indiana and studied at the St Louis School of Fine Arts and at the Artist Colony in Woodstock, NY with Birge Harrison and John Carlson. He was involved in the WPA, and became known for his atmospheric etchings of snowy winter scenes. He was a member of the Philadelphia Print Club and the National Association of Etchers.
