Created and printed in 1922 in an edition of 90, this impression is hand signed with pen and ink and numbered X.  The image measures 7 1/2X12 inches.  This etching appears in the Salaman catalog as image number 212.  A fine impression printed on an antique laid type sheet.

Etching, image size 8 1/2 x 12 1/2 inches, 1931, pencil signed. Chahine studied at the Academia Di Belle Arti in Venice and then at the Academy Julien in Paris. He was a very well respected artist in his time, winning many awards and honors for his work. However his prints and paintings are hard to find, many of them were destroyed in a fire at his studio in 1926 or in a later flood in 1942.

This is a fine original etching by British printmaker Ernest Lumsden.  The title is: Mosque and Temple, created and printed in 1914 as plate no. 2 from His Indian Series.  This etching is hand signed in pencil with the "imp" after his name meaning that he printed this impression himself.  It is also inscribed as: "4th trial state no. 2" lower left border.  It appears in the Lumsden catalog as image number 167.  The image measures 8X9 7/8 inches.  Printed on a medium weight wove type sheet.

This drypoint etching of the English landscape painter, Charles March Gere, c. 1927, measures 12 x 10 1/4 inches and is pencil signed on the lower right margin. Francis Dodd was born in Wales and trained at the Glasgow School of Art winning the Haldane Scholarship in 1893 enabling him to travel and study in France, Italy and Spain. During WWI he became a portrait war artist producing more than 30 portraits of senior officers. After the war he gained considerable notoriety for his watercolors as well as his printmaking.

This lovely atmospheric image by William Wyllie measures 4 7/8 x 12 7/8 inches, pencil signed on the l.l. and created c. 1920. This is a view of Greenich from the Isle of Dogs with a view of the Royal Navel Academy on the left with the domes of the Royal Observatory high in the background. Wyllie was a well known marine painter and printmaker, studying at the Heatherley School of Fine Art and then at the at the Royal Academy. At the age of 18, Wyllie won the Turner Gold Medal for his painting "Dawn After A Storm". He went on to have a long artistic career, specializing in paintings and etchings of the sea and the city of London. In this etching, Wyllie uses remarkably delicate lines and subtle tones to create an atmospheric image in this busy harbor scene.

This is a finely detailed line engraving by British artist Robert Sargen Austin.  The title is: "The Pack Bridge, Aylestone, Leicestershire".  The image measures 4 13/16X4 7/16 inches.  It was created and printed in 1926 and appears in the Dodgson catalog as image number 65.  It was printed in an edition of 60.

This is a fine drypoint etching by British artist Sir Henry Rushbury.  The subject is the destruction of St. Olave's cathedral on  Tooley Street in Bermondsey.  This drypoint is hand signed by the artist with pen and ink in the lower border.  The image measures 11 3/8X8 1/16 inches.  Very richly printed on a medium weight wove type paper.  This image created in 1927.  "the demolition in process of a historic London dockside church, St Olave's, Bermondsey/ Southwark. This took place because of local depopulation and the church being given 'redundant' status. Demolition took place in two stages and Rushbury has cleverly seized the moment when the nave was all but destroyed (1926) but the tower was still intact. This didn't last long, and it was demolished in turn in 1928. Building materials and debris litter the foreground."
