This is an original pencil signed wood block print by British artist George Soper. The subject is a Horse with a cart resting on the side of the farm building. The image measures 5 3/8X7 5/8 inches. Printed on a thin Japan type sheet. Soper was an artist who mostly depicted Rural life in England.

This etching is plate initialed in the lower left. Plate measures 3 3/8 x 5 7/8 inches in a 10 1/2 x 12 1/2 inch black frame from Kennedy & Co, label on back. A well inked impression with plate toning. Sir David Cameron was considered one of the greatest British etchers of the early 20th century. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland and began studying art at the Glasgow Art School before moving on to the Edinburgh School of Art. He was a member of the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers, the Royal Society of Painters in Water-Colours, and the Royal Scottish Academy. He was eventually knighted for his contribution to British art.

This etching by the Czech artist, Tavik F. Simon, measures 7 3/4 x 4 5/8 inches, pencil signed, 1914, cat: Novak-229, in an edition of 150. Simon studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and traveled extensively throughout Europe, as well as Asia and the U.S. He lived in Paris from 1905-1913, then returned to Prague to teach at the Academy of Fine Arts. He was an exceptional painter and printmaker, and is best known for his atmospheric color etchings and aquatints.
