This is a pencil signed impression of the well known Charles Adams Platt etching titled: Afternoon on the Maas, created and printed in 1885. The image measures 16 3/4X12 7/8 inches. It appears in the Platt catalog as image number 61. "On the shore at the left a huge windmill rises above a group of buildings. Close by a lugger is moored, at the right two more float on the tranquil stream" The etching is laid down to a backing board.

This atmospheric winter scene by the American artist, Ronau Woiceske measures 8 3/8 x 11 inches, pencil signed and titled. Woiceske was born in Bloomington Indiana and studied at the St Louis School of Fine Arts and at the Artist Colony in Woodstock, NY with Birge Harrison and John Carlson. He was involved in the WPA, and became known for his atmospheric etchings of snowy winter scenes. He was a member of the Philadelphia Print Club and the National Association of Etchers.
This is a rare triptych by Japanese 19th century artist Kunichika This view of a Young woman being guarded by the Samuri is signed in each panel Kunisada, Gepparo, his signature done in between 1811-1813. The overall size of the triptych measures 12 3/4X26 inches, This woodblock is framed.

This is an original mezzotint by European artist Wallerand Vaillant (1623-1677) This is a portrait of a woman of wealth, it was created and printed circa 1670. The image measures 12 1/2X10 1/2 inches. It is plate signed in the lower right border. Vaillant was one of the first old master printmakers to use the technique of mezzotint. Printed on an early laid type paper.

A beautiful sun drenched scene by Walter MacEwen, etching, image size 10 x 5 7/8 inches, c. 1910, printed by Delatre, pencil signed. Born in Chicago, MacEwen traveled to Europe to study art, first in Munich with Frank Duveneck, then in Paris with Corman and Robert-Fleury. He stayed in Europe for many years with studios in both Paris and Holland, where he was also a founding member of the Egmond Artist Colony. Primarily a painter, MacEwen was known for his impressionistic portraits and genre scenes which were quite well received in both Europe and America. His etchings, which are quite scarce, are developed in a very painterly style, reflecting the delicate use of light and shadow of his paintings.
