Paul Daniel Ortlip was a well known landscape and portrait artist from Fort Lee, NJ. Born into an artistic family, he studied in NY and Paris. After serving in the military he became the participating artist for NASA, the official US Navy Artist and was first commissioned by the White House to paint portraits of the astronauts. Later, he also did a portrait of John F. Kennedy. His works are housed in the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum and the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library.

A fine pencil drawing by Dexter Dawes done on a heavy weight paper. It measures 7 5/8 x 11 inches. Dawes was born in Englewood, NJ and went on to study at New York City's Art Student League. He summered in Marlboro, NH surrounded by beautiful gardens with views of Mount Monadnock which became the inspiration for many of his lithographs and paintings. He belonged to a number of associations including the National Arts Club.

This two sided drawing by Stephen Parrish measures 6 5/8 x 10 3/8 inches. Done in black ink, c. 1890, with a Maxfield Parrish Jr. family stamp on the lower right and upper left in black ink. Another drawing of a homestead with split rail fence, possibly his own, in on the reverse.
