This is an original early etching by Italian Old Master Giovanni B. Piranesi.  The title is; Veduta in Prospettiva della gran Fontana dell'Acqua Vergine detta di Trevi.  This was created and printed in 1773.  It is from the first state of 3 before numbers.  From his series Vedute di Roma.  The image measures 18 3/4X28 1/4 inches.  Printed on a medium weight wove type paper with circular watermark and the typical fold in the center.  Very fine condition,   Cataloged at Hind 104.


This is an original etching by Old Master Italian artist Giovanni B. Piranesi.  The title of this work is: 

Veduta degli Avanzi di Fabbrica magnifica sepolcrale co'sue Rovine.  View of the remains of a magnificent sepulcral building and its runins near the Torre de'Schiavi.  It was created and printed in 1756.  The image measures  14 1/2X20 1/2 inches.  This is an early life time impression, printed on a medium weight laid type paper with a circular watermark.  This image was part of the series Le Antichita Romane.  The image has the center fold typical of this series.


This is an original mezzotint engraving by Dutch artist Jacob Gole (1660-1737)  This image, The Drawing Lesson was created after the painting by Godfrey Schalcken.  This image identified in the lower border has an image size of 9 3/4X7 7/8 inches.  Printed on an early laid type paper, some foxing but overall very fine condition.  It has a collectors seal in the lower border, "H de t stat".

Engraving, image size 16 x 19 15/16 inches, JW Randall 3709, signed in plate. Hercules inadvertently murders Iphitus. His punishment is to serve as a slave to Omphale, the queen of Lydia, in a comic tale of gender role reversal.
