THis is a fine color aquatint etching by French artist Louis Icart.  The title is: La robe de chine,( The Silk Robe) created and printed in  1926, published by Les Graveurs Modernes, 194 rue de Rivoli, Paris.  The image measures 15X18 1/4 inches.  Hand signed in pencil lower right also with the windmill blindstamp and copyright information in the upper left corner.  Very rich color remains, nice condition..This image appears in the Holland catalog as number 276.

This is a fine original color aquatint etching by French artist Manuel Robbe.  The title of this work is: La Coquette.  It was created and printed circa 1905.  It is hand signed with pen and ink in the lower right border.  Printed on a medium weight laid type paper.  The image measures 14 1/8X10 3/16 inches.  This image appears in the Merrill Chase catalog as image number 22.  A fine example of his "belle epoque" style of expression.  In a fine Foster Brothers gilt frame.

This is an original etching by Well known Belle Epoch artist Manuel Robbe (1872-1936) The title of this work is: "Parisienne", it was created and printed in 1906 in an edition of 200, published by Georges Petit. The image measures 19 1/2X13 1/2 inches. It is signed in pencil lower left within the image. A fine impression, previously sold by Merrill Chase galleries. Robbe studied at the Academie Julien and the Ecole des Beaux Artes in Paris.
With his hand application of color no two images look exactly the same, a very painterly technique.

This is a fine original oil on canvas painting by American artist Daniel Strain 1847-1925.  This fine portrait of a Young Boy is signed upper left, and dated 1896.  The painting measures 18X16 inches.  Strain is best known for his portraits and landscape paintings.  One tiny spot of touchup, very minor.  Nicely housed in a gilt frame.

The image is editioned lower left as 12/20. A rare image. The drypoint measures 15X12 inches, printed on a medium weight, watermarked, laid type paper. very fine condition, a rich impression showing a velvet burr of ink throughout the figure.
This drypoint is clearly signed in pencil by the artist lower right border.

This is the famous self portrait by the Belgian printmaker, Jules de Bruycker.  The setting is within his studio with a view of Ghent behind.  The artist at work, this image was created and printed in 1925 in an edition of 125.  The image measures 15 1/4X11 1/4 inches, printed on a wove type sheet which measures 22 1/2X15 1/2 inches.  Hand signed, inscribed  and dated in pencil in the lower margin.

This is one of the best known works by French artist Jean Francois Millet, Le Départ pour le travail, Leaving for Work, created and printed in  1863.  The image printed on laid paper measures 15 1/4X12 1/8 inches.  This etching is signed, "J.F. Millet" lower left image.  This image is in the Delteil catalog as image number 19  ii/vii...the second state of 7.  The image is in good condition, there is old tape residue on the left border, not into the image.  Unobtrusive.  A fine impression, matted and framed with archival materials.

This is an original oil on board painting by American artist Henry Mortikar Rosenberg.  This study of a museum visitor was originally in the collection of the Mobile Museum of Art, Alabama.  The painting is signed lower right in pencil and inscribed on the back.  The image measures 16X12 inches.  A few minor spots of touch up, nothing major.  A fine modernist impression.  Rosenberg studied under Frank Duveneck.
