This is a fine industrial etching by American artist   Otto Kuhler.   "Monster & Midgets". 1928. The image measures 9 3/8 x 12 7/8. inches.  Etching. Signed in pencil. Edition: 75. Excellent condition. Although best known for his industrial Designs, Otto Kuhler  is well regarded as a fine artist and draftsman. Born in Germany, Kuhler was the sole heir to his family's successful steel business, Kuhler Forges. After WWI however, the business and his family's fortune were in ruins. After living briefly in Dusseldorf, and partly due to the advice of friend Joseph Pennell, he took up etching and emigrated to the States in 1923. Otto Kuhler's etchings of begrimed industry sprang from the same optimistic response to technology that led to his colorful streamlined designs for the Milwaukee, Lehigh and other railroads in the 1930's. "This merging of industry and art proved so successful that after years of submitting designs, a locomotive based on Kuhler's designs was built. The engine, Hiawatha, rolled out of the Schenectady, New York yard in May, 1935. It was the first streamlined steam locomotive to be built from scratch in America. This signaled the start of the next phase of his career- as a successful industrial designer."

This is an original pencil signed etching by British artist Augustus John (1878-1961)  This etching is titled: Rambling By the Lake, it was created and printed in  1909 this impression is numbered as 23/50.  The image measures 7X5 inches, printed on an antique watermarked laid type paper.  In the lower border its annotated Plate no. 116 and then titled and editioned.  Very nice condition.

This is an incredible rare impression of the well known Panama Canal etching, The Guard Gate, Gatun Lock.  It was created and printed in 1912. Both etching and drypoint, with a rich burr in the shadow areas.   Pencil signed and annotated "imp" meaning that he printed this impression on his own press.  It is printed on a blue toned laid type paper,  Very fine condition, richly printed.  The image measures 12 1/2X9 1/2 inches.  It appears in the Pennell catalog as Wuerth number 627.  The edition is about 60 impressions.

This is a very highly detailed drypoint etching by American artist Walter Tittle, (1883-1966)  This large image, pencil signed measures 10 1/2X15 1/2 inches. Printed on a medium weight wove type sheet, annotated as "Gift of the Artist" lower right border.  Very fine condition, a very rich impression of this rare image.

This is an original etching by American artist Otto Kuhler.  The title is: The Queen and the Slaves, created and printed in 1926.  This impression is pencil signed and inscribed as "Trial Proof, ltd edition 10 proofs", 1926.  The image measures 9 1/2 X13 1/4 inches.  Fine use of plate tone in the sea and sky.  The subject is the German liner, Breman.  The later published edition done in 1930 was of only 40 ...

This is  a finely detailed  etching by British artist Stanley Badmin.  The title is Richmond Bridge, created and printed in 1931 in an edition of 50, this impression is 4/50.  The image measures 4 3/8X6 3/8 inches.  Hand signed in pencil S.R. Badmin.  This image appears as number 24 in the Beetles catalog.  Published by the Twenty-One Gallery. Exhibited:Royal Academy ofArts, 1931. Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers, 1932. This is a life time impression of the well known etching by Pierre Auguste Renoir, titled: Femme, Nue Couchee, Nude woman reclining facing right.  Created and printed in 1906, this impression done on a laid type sheet with the Fortuna watermark from the original printing.  The image measures 5 5/8X7 5/8 inches on a buff toned sheet.  Very fine condition.  Very light even toning over the image only, possibly as originally presented.  The image appears in the Melot catalog as image number R-14

This is a fine award winning etching by American artist John Taylor Arms.  The title is: Reflections at Finchingfield, it was created and printed in  1938.  From his English Series, this is the 2nd state of two, printed by David Strang in an edition of 100 as inscribed on the etching lower left also hand signed and dated in pencil lower right border.  This large etching measures 7 1/16X17 1/8 inches.  Found in the Fletcher catalog as image number 311.  This image won prices from the Chicago Society of Etchers, the Lotus Club and Northwest Printmakers.  One of his finest images with the  incredible reflection found in the pond below the buildings. ( our photo doesnt show a fraction of the image on the right side, this etching is overall complete with good borders all around.

This is a fine pencil signed etching by American artist John Sloan.  This image is titled: Bandit's Cave, created and  printed in 1920 as a presentation print for the New Republic Portfolio of six etchings.  The image measures 7X5 inches, very nice condition.  Printed in an edition of 500.  Morse 195.

This is a pencil signed, titled and numbered etching by American modernist artist Leonard Baskin.  The title is Distension, created and printed in 1969.  The sheet size measures 38X24 inches.  Numbered 30/115.  Printed on a heavy weight wove type sheet.  The image is also embossed in the sheet.  The image appears in the Baskin catalog as image number 522.

This is a fine original pencil signed etching by British artist Gerald Brockurst.  Created and printed in an edition of 111 impressions in 1931.  This image measures 9X7 1/4 inches.  Nicely framed with archival materials.  An impressive portrait, one of his finest etchings.

This is a fine experimental etching by American artist Joseph Pennell.  The title is: Whitehall Court, created and printed in  1903 in an edition of 60.  The image measures 10 1/2X8 inches. The lights of the Charing Cross Bridge in the foreground and reflected in the water.  This image is in the Wuerth catalog as image number 275, pencil signed lower border, printed on a light weight laid type sheet.  A well inked impression.  This etching was last sold by Frederick Keppel in New York, the original label is included.

This is an original pencil signed and numbered lithograph by American artist Stow Wengenroth.  The title is: Homeward Bound, Port Clyde, created and printed in 1956 in an edition of 45.  The image measures 10 3/4X15 5/16 inches.  Printed on a medium weight wove type sheet.  This image appears in the Stuckey catalog as image number 232.

Etching with drypoint, image size 9 1/4 x 11 1/2, 1934, edition of 40, pencil signed and numbered. This print is also in the MoMA collection.

This is an original lithograph by American artist Mabel Wellington Jack.  The title is Farm Lad, it was created for the WPA, The Federal Art Project N.Y.C...  Hand signed and titled in pencil, wpa stamp lower left.  The image measures 13X9 7/8 inches.  Printed on a medium weight Rives BFK wove type paper.  A very rich impression of this scarce image.  A New York born artist who was active on the NYC-WPA.. Her work is in many museums including the Smithsonian.
