This is a fine drypoint etching by British artist William Walcot 1874-1943. The title is "The Mersey " it was created and printed in 1922 as part of his series titled "The Arteries of Great Britain. The platemark measures 4 3/4X13 inches. Hand signed in pencil lower border.
This etching by Mortimer Menpes measures 12 3/8 x 6 3/8 inches, pencil signed, c. 1902, edition of 50, looking towards the Gothic Baldachin. Menpes attended the School of Art in London in 1878 and started exhibiting at the Royal Academy in 1880. He became a major figure in the etching revival, producing more than seven hundred different etchings and drypoints, which he usually printed himself.

A great image of a Spanish bull fight, this etching with drypoint measures 10 1/8 x 11 1/2 inches, published in 1929 in an edition of 100, pencil signed and numbered. Hermine David was born and raised in Paris and at the age of 16 was accepted into the Ecole Des Beaux Arts, later going on the study at the Academy Julien. She was a well known painter and printmaker and was very active in the thriving artist community in Paris in the early 20th century. She was married to fellow artist Jules Pascin for several years, but in 1920 the couple divorced and David set up her own studio in Montparnasse. She went on to have a long successful career as an artist and illustrator and was awarded the Legion of Honor in 1932.
This is an original etching by French artist Pierre Dubreuil. The title is: Les Cinq Baigneuses, Five Bathers. Created and printed circa 1940 this etching is hand signed in pencil and inscribed as "Epreuve d' artiste XVI/XX" The image mesures 10 1/2X12 1/2 inches. Nicely framed with a French mat.
A delicately rendered original etching with drypoint, plate size 5 3/8 x 7 3/8 inches, published in 1923, cat: Dickins-78, pencil signed. Walcot was born in Russia, the son of a British father and Russian mother. His family traveled extensively throughout Europe as well as South America, and Walcot was educated in Paris and Russia, graduating with a degree in architecture from the Imperial Academy of the Arts in Moscow. He worked as an architect briefly in Russia before moving to England in 1906. He became well known for his etchings which portray an impressive knowledge of architectural details along with a distinctive impressionistic influence in the atmosphere and immediacy of the images. This scene of York Minster is a great example of this sense of light and atmosphere, the delicate details of the cathedral contrasting with the quickly rendered people in the foreground.
A rare original etching by German Impressionist artist Lesser Ury, image size 6 1/2 x 5 3/ 8 inches, c. 1920, edition of 100, pencil signed. There is a repaired tear along the entire top margin, but it does not affect the image and will be easily covered by a window mat.

Printed on a heavy weight wove type sheet, Although born and trained in Paris, Leon later worked in the USA and became a member of the Brooklyn Society of Etchers.
