This mezzotint by Charles Turner, after a drawing by J.M.W. Turner, measures 6 x 8 1/2 inches. This is from J.M.W. Turners' "Rivers of England" series, Plate J, and published in London, 1823, by W.B. Cooke. Engraver, title, publisher and date are located on lower margin.

Boy Playing Violin

Mezzotint, image size 14 1/2 x 10 1/4 inches, after a painting by Franz Hals, 1732, printed by G. White, laid paper, collectors annotations on back, print is trimmed within the platemark and the bottom edge is uneven.

Bugle

Mezzotint, image size 11 3/4 x 13 5/8 inches, pencil signed "T. Yokoi" l.r., titled "Bugle" center, edition 35/100 l.l.

Mezzotint, image size 12 3/8 x 9 1/2 inches, plate size 13 3/4 x 9 1/2 inches, c.1730, after the painting by Thomas Hudson. Inscribed "T.Hudson pinx" l.l., "I. Faber fecit" l.r.

Portrait of a Victorian Woman

This matted and framed Victorian image, created in 1911, measures 12/1/2 x 10 1/2 inches. It is pencil signed in the lower right corner with a publishers blindstamp on the lower left margin. "Copyright Published January 1st, 1911, Vicars Brothers, 12 Old Bond Street, London." is printed across the top margin. Wilson was a master of the English mezzotint revival style of the early 1900's.
