This is a life time impression of the well known etching by Pierre Auguste Renoir, titled: Femme, Nue Couchee, Nude woman reclining facing right.  Created and printed in 1906, this impression done on a laid type sheet with the Fortuna watermark from the original printing.  The image measures 5 5/8X7 5/8 inches on a buff toned sheet.  Very fine condition.  Very light even toning over the image only, possibly as originally presented.  The image appears in the Melot catalog as image number R-14

This is a fine original color etching by Austrian artist Luigi Kasimir.  The scene is the New York Stock Exchange, created and printed circa 1932.  This image is hand signed in pencil and numbered 29/100.  The image measures 17 1/4X10 5/8 inches.  This etching is nicely framed with the early label from J. Assenheim in New York.

This is an original drypoint etching by British artist William Russell Flint.  The title is Aragonese String Makers, it was created and printed in 1930.  It is editioned as impression number XXVII...  The image measures 9 1/2X14 3/4 inches.  Printed on an early laid type paper, R.G. 1820.  The image is signed in sepia ink lower right border.  A very rich inking with extensive use of plate tone in the sky and land.  A beautiful impression.  This image was reproduced  for  the book "Fine Prints of the Year, 1931, published by Malcolm Salaman

This is a beautiful color aquatint etching by the French artist Auguste Brouet.  The title is: Arabesque,  created and printed in 1920 in an edition of 250, this impression is numbered 155/250.  Hand signed in pencil, A ballet scene with two dancers performing an arabesque. At the back an opulent stage set, with other performers standing in the wings.  The image measures 10 3/4X15 inches.  This etching is in fine condition, beautfully Framed with archival materials.

This is a rare aquatint etching by French artist Manuel Robbe.  The title is; Confidence au Miroir, a fine impression  of a young woman studying herself in the mirror.  The image measures 17X10 1/4 inches.  It is hand signed in pencil within the lower left corner of the image and numbered as "no.57", in the lower right border.  This image is very scarce, no evidence of it showing up on the market.  Printed on a laid type paper with the "arches" watermark.

Catalog: Merrill Chase 125. Provenance Merrill Chase galleries, according to a label on the back. Robbe studied at the Academie Julien and the Ecole des Beaux Artes, becoming a master of the aquatint medium. He developed much of his own aquatint techniques, which enabled him to create his uniquely painterly, richly colored images.

This is a fine original etching by British artist James McBey.  This subject is The Sussex, it was created and printed in 1916.  On March 24, 1916 a German Submarine attacked the French passenger steamer called The Sussex which was then beached with the Bow blown off.  The procession showing the removing of the more than 50 people killed in the attack.  The image measures 8 3/16X15 1/8 inches.  Hand signed in sepia ink from an edition of 76.  Illustrated in Lumsden, The Art of Etching..This impression has the number I.  Printed on a laid "whatman" watermarked sheet.
