This is an impressive work by American street artist Ronnie Goodman.  The title is: Black Lives Matter, it is quite large measuring 24X18 inches, with a sheet size of 29X22 /2 inches.  This work is hand signed and dated in pencil and also inscribed as an artist proof on the lower border.  This image was created and printed in 2015.  Goodman died in 2020.  He was a Black artist who studied art in prison and later lived on the street and sold his work to people passing by.  The artist Art Hazelwood who had a print studio encouraged Goodman and let him have the use of his studio to print his works.  "Ronnie?s great achievement was in overcoming so many obstacles to create powerful artwork that addressed two of the darkest and most neglected aspects of American life, prison and homelessness. He lived those experiences. He was a black man, an ex-con, an addict and homeless. But it wasn?t his own experience only that gave his work such power, but a deep compassion for others that propelled his work. His work represented the difficult life he and his community lived"

This is a fine original line engraving by British artist Robert S. Austin.  The title is "Scythes Resting in a Tree",created and printed in 1928, the image measures 5X3 1/2 inches.  Pencil signed by the artist, numbered 11/75.  Robert Sargent Austin was a highly respected illustrator and engraver, sometimes regarded as the last great English engraver. He taught at the Royal College of Art and was eventually elected president of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers.
