This is an original drypoint etching by British artist David Muirhead Bone. The subject of this work is: Canal and Bridge of SS Apostoli, Venice. THis etching was created and printed in 1916 in an edition of 129. This etching printed in sepia toned ink measures 12 7/8X8 7/8 inches. The image appears in the Dodgson catalog as image number 351.

Plate measures 21 x 13 inches on 26 x 18 inch wove type paper. Helleu began his art career when he enrolled at the Ecole des Beaux Arts and worked as an apprentice for Theodore Deck, decorating ceramic plates with women's portraits. He became friends with many artists of La Belle Epoch, including John Singer Sargent, Whistler, Tissot, Monet and Rodin, and became well known for his elegant portraits of women of French society. He traveled between France and America, and in 1912 was commissioned to create the astrological ceiling decoration in New York's Grand Central Station.
This landscape measures 12 5/8 x 9 1/8 inches and is signed on the reverse in pencil as "E. A. King", housed in a period frame. We are attributing this painting to Elizabeth A.(Bessie) King who studied at the Chandler School of Art in Detroit and was a member of the Atlanta Artists Association.
This is an original prize winning etching by American artist John Taylor Arms. The title is Sunlight on Stone, Caudebec-en-Caux. The image created in 1931 measures 14 1/2X7 5/8 inches. Printed on an antique laid type paper, hand signed in pencil, and inscribed "Ed 100 II" lower left, also with a collectors seal "HOW" in red, lower right corner of the sheet. This image appears in the Arms catalog as number 241. This image was part of his French Church series no.31. This image won numerous awards including best print in the Arts and Crafts Association in Connecticut in 1952.

Signed lower left corner and housed in a period gilt frame, labels and import stickers on the back of the panel. This painting done circa 1870 is in fine condition, a few minor chips to the frame. A very expressive work of art.
This is an original etching by Well known Belle Epoch artist Manuel Robbe (1872-1936) The title of this work is: "Parisienne", it was created and printed in 1906 in an edition of 200, published by Georges Petit. The image measures 19 1/2X13 1/2 inches. It is signed in pencil lower left within the image. A fine impression, previously sold by Merrill Chase galleries. Robbe studied at the Academie Julien and the Ecole des Beaux Artes in Paris.
With his hand application of color no two images look exactly the same, a very painterly technique.
