George Soper

A drypoint etching from 1920. Catalog: B-223. Pencil signed in the lower right. Plate 7 3/4 x 12 3/4 inches on 11 1/2 x 16 inch watermarked laid paper. A richly inked impression with a rich drypoint burr. Soper was a master at showing Horses at work in the old British farm lands.

This is an original etching by British artist George Soper (1870-1942)  The title is: "Mangels", it was created and printed in 1918, edition unknown.  Printed on a cream toned laid type paper, partial r.e.s. watermark.   The image measures 5X8 inches.  A fine impression with extensive plate tone in the sky and land.
