This is a fine large color screen print by American artist Harry Shokler (1896-1978)  The title of this work is Summer Hotel, created in 1945 and printed in an edition of 100.  Hand signed and titled in pencil and also signed with pen and ink within the image.  This large image measures 14 9/16X18 3/4 inches.  Very fine condition.  Matted not framed.

This is an original regionalist lithograph by American artist Harry Wickey 1892-1968.  This lithograph is hand signed in pencil and editioned as 100 proofs.  The iage measures 11 1/2X12 1/8 inches.  Printed on a medium weight wove type sheet.   For the remainder of 1935 and most of 1936, Harry Wickey returned to his family farm near Stryker, Ohio. He became fascinated with the activities of the farm animals he found there and created many drawings, watercolours and lithographs from this experience. One animal, namely the pig, drew much of his attention and he created at least six original lithographs on this subject during 1936.  Very fine condition.

This is an atmospheric scene of a ship coming into port, pulled by a tugboat; it is rendered with remarkabley delicate lines and a rich yet quite subtle tonal range, giving a strong sense of a soft morning fog over calm waters. The canvas sails of the ship beautifully contrast with the steam of the tug as is dissipates into the misty air. The image measures 19 x 23 inches, published in 1887, pencil signed on the lower right margin. "Copyright R. Cleveland Coxe, 1887, NY" is printed on the lower center, with a remarque of an anchor in the lower left margin. Framed. Coxe studied at the National Academy before going to Paris to study with Leon Bonnat. A painter and etcher, Coxe best works were of seascapes of the New England Coast.

This is a pencil signed rare etching by American artist Joseph Pennell.  The title written in the artists hand is The Monument from the Palatine, Rome,1911.  This etching has an alternate titled of Old and New Rome, as what appears in the Wuerth catalog as image number 622.  the image measures 12 1/4X9 1/4 inches. The edition is noted as 40.  "The Palatine Hill, which relative to the seven hills of Rome is the centremost, is one of the most ancient parts of the city; it has been called "the first nucleus of the Roman Empire".  This  etching is framed.

This is an original hand signed color aquatint etching by French artist Manuel Robbe (1872-1936) The title of this etching is: "Le Pont de L'Isle Adam" it was created and printed in 1927 in an edition of 100. The etching is pencil signed in the lower right. This etching was formally sold by Merrill Chase galleries in Chicago. The image measures 13 1/2X21 inches.A fine impression, Sold by Merrill Chase, Chicago... Robbe studied at the Academie Julien and the Ecole des Beaux Artes in Paris.
With his hand application of color no two images look exactly the same, a very painterly technique.

This image was illustrated in Print Collector's Quarterly in 1926.

This is an early impression of the  well known Bullfighting series  titled La Tauromaquia by Spanish artist Francisco Goya.  This image is plate 5 fro the series and is titled: The Courageous Moor, Gazul, Was the first to Fight Bullls.  El animoso moro gazul es el priero que lanceo toros en regla.  the platemark measures 9 3/4X14 inches on a sheet size of 13X17 1/4 inches.  Although  this is an early impression on medium weight laid type paper there is no plate number in the upper corner of the sheet.  A bit of a mystery!  A rich and detailed impression.

This is an original etching by American artist Isac Friedlander. The title of this work is: "Blessed be thy name", it was created and printed in 1942. The image measures 12 3/4X8 1/4 inches. The artist's view of the aftermath of war in Europe. It is hand signed, titled, dated and inscribed as "Trial Proof No3" in the lower margin by the artist in pencil.
Isac Friedlander (1890-1968) was born in Mitau, Latvia. He was arrested in 1906 and imprisoned by Russian authorities for anti- Czarist Political activities from 1906 to 1912. He studied art at the Academy of Rome, Italy from 1913 until 1917. He was a friend of Russian writer Maxim Gorky. Friedlander began his printing career in 1915. In 1917 he repatriated to Russia during the Kerensky regime, but in 1929 Friedlander immigrated to the US with the encouragement of his cousin Joseph Hirshhorn.

This is a rare early state etching by Sir Francis Seymour Haden, image size 5 3/8 x 8 3/8 inches, 1864, state VI/XIII, cat: Schneiderman-72, pencil signed. Sir Francis Seymour Haden was one of the most important British etchers of the 19th century, along with his brother in law James Whistler. In addition to being a highly regarded artist he was a successful surgeon, accomplished author and dedicated angler. He was a founder and the first president of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers, and was knighted in 1894.

This is an extremely large hand colored engraving by William Overend Geller, after the painting by Baron Jolly. This engraving is titled: "Franklin at the Court of France, 1778". It was published in Philadelphia in 1853. The image measures 27 1/2X 37 3/4 inches on a sheet size of 31 1/2X40 inches. This engraving was originally sold with the edition of hand coloring in watercolor. The colors are very rich, the sheet is linen backed but in very good condition. Sold unframed.
